Tom Ford Spring/Summer 2023 Eye Color Quads Swatches
Tom Ford Spring/Summer 2023 Eye Color Quads debuted three new, probably limited edition, eyeshadow quads in early May. I bought them shortly after they launched but had quite the kerfuffle getting them from Sephora (the longest delivery time I’ve experienced from Sephora in years and a reship after all that waiting!). All three featured the more gel-powder like formula.
To me, these look pretty much like all the other Tom Ford quads….there seems to be a real lack of distinction among his past, permanent and new offerings.
I’m definitely feeling Hazy Sensuality and Golden Hour….for their shades and beautiful quality. However, I’m pretty sure that I can replicate Hazy Sensuality using CT Bejewelled palette along with a brighter shimmery pink to get the same thing.
Same old colors!
I just don’t understand how 2 palettes with virtually identical color stories are created and subsequently approved for release in the same collection. It’s bad enough that all 3 (and the 2 launching soon) look similar to most of the quads released over the last year but there’s no excuse for Golden Hour and Peachy Dawn
I’m glad I’m not the only one who had this reaction! But I guess there are Tom Ford devotees who will buy pretty much whatever he releases….
You’re right. I’m guilty of buying a lot of Viseart palettes but they’re all different. I’ve never worn warm tones, which is possibly why these peachy, orange, warm brown and pink color stories always seem interchangeable but in this specific case, Golden Hour and Peachy Dawn look identical, not just similar.
Hazy Sensuality reminds me of Bare Minerals Gen Nude Rose palette that was released a few years ago.
There is a certain sameness to each of these quads and predictabily I like a couple of the colours in one – Hazy Sensuality Shades 1 + 2, Golden Hour Shade 1 and Peach Dawn 2….
At least I think the formula is quite good…
I’m so bored with his releases; it’s literally wash, rinse, repeat. And at his price point that’s unforgivable. I just don’t get it. Maybe it’s just me.
