Tom Ford Soleil Neige Balm Frost Review & Swaatches

Balm Frost
($56.00 for 0.1 oz.) has a mostly transparent base chocked full of finer pearl and larger sparkle that seemed to shift from pale gold to greenish-gold with hints of opalescence. It had a shiny, twinkling finish that had good dispersion of all of the shimmer/sparkle, so that it actually had an even amount of “coverage” all over my lips. The texture was lightweight, balmy with moderate slip, but it was thin enough so it didn’t feel like it was going to slide everywhere. When I pressed my lips together, I didn’t feel the grit or texture of the sparkles.
It’s a new, limited edition lip balm for the holiday season that’s supposed to have “soothing hydration” with a “pearlescent finish” that “mimics the look of bright sun glittering on crystalline snow.” It seemed to live up to what it was trying to model itself after; it did have a glittering effect that was shiny and reflective. It lasted two to three hours on me but was moderately hydrating, just not as hydrating as I’d expect or look for in an actual lip balm. As a sheer lipstick, it was decently hydrating.

Whoa….🤯
The way this was crafted is a genius work of art. And thoroughly breathtaking. It’s something I would absolutely love to have!
…and I was thinking it looks creepily sandpaper-y in the tube, as though it would scrape your lips off during application. I guess one woman’s work of art is another woman’s sandpaper (and that price is kinda painful too!)
Oh, I agree with you Mariella, the price is extremely and prohibitively painfully expensive!
Although this is lovely (especially on you!)……$56 for a sheer balm with glitter! Ouch!
Just going to echo other folk’s thoughts.. it’s super pricey for a balm. Do I think this would look amazing over a simple lip pencil, hell yes. Do I love the look of the bullet…absofreakinglutely. It pains me not to buy this, but I won’t.
Exactly my thoughts, Wednesday. I would LOVE to have it, but I refuse to pay *gulp* $56 for a lip balm!
My goodness, what will the brand think of next! It looks like a lollypop. Hmmm – not a fan of all that glitter.
Oh, wow. Absolutely gorgeous. They nailed the sun on snow crystals effect. Prohibitively expensive for me, unfortunately.
Didn’t they? I was like, yeah, I can see it, especially as it has a cooler greenish-gold twinkle to it.
What a beauty!
This is a shiny balm I’d love to have at least two of, but at $56 I’ll not get even one.
The best thing I’ve seen from TF in a long time.
I don’t think I could bring myself to pay over $30ish for a lipstick. But who else looked at it int he tube and thought, I’d never want to use it, just look at it! Lovely!
