Tom Ford Dark Opulence Eyeshadow Quad Review & Swatches
Dark Opulence
Tom Ford Beauty Dark Opulence Eye Color Quad ($90.00 for 0.35 oz.) was a disappointment through and through and made me feel every bit of $90 poorly spent. Two of the shades were nightmarish to use as they were thin and had such a deep, blackish base that the sheerness coupled with the texture made them nigh on impossible to blend out well.

Yikes….$90 worth of old school CoverGirl quality eyeshadow. Beyond disappointing. 🤦🏻♀️
Nancy, I have some Cover Girl shadows that actually blow this palette out of the water!
Yes, CG definitely made some major improvements in their eyeshadow formula starting sometime in the late 00’s , maybe 2008? Because I bought a bright peacock inspired quad around 2009 that they still sell, and it was amazing! But, before that change for the better, the really old stuff was pretty bad for awhile.
This is very sad to see. I was never a huge TF shadow fan but still don’t like seeing a brand stray so far from the mark.
Oh gosh….talk about dreadful!
Wow! Shame on Tom Ford for producing such an inferior product. I own Golden Hour and was so tempted to buy this one too. Thank you for this review!
Obviously this is beyond dreadful, but the SG dupes for the teal are magnificent. That was probably redundant for this audience, who are enjoying your version from On the Horizon. Must make Christine feel great to have her palette collab annihilate Tom Ford!
I opened my daily email from Temptalia, saw the rating for this, and something between a snicker and evil villain laugh came out of me. I don’t know where that came from, lol.
Shocking! That’s the only thing I can say – and it would be those blue/teal shades that would attract possible buyers to it and they are just awful. What a waste of money and time spent reviewing them they are.
…..UD used to make the most amazing blue and teal shadows – absolute stunners and for a fraction of the price of this fiasco!
Never thought i will see an F for a Tom Ford quad, might be the first?Still this makes the fail so much painful.
What a disappointment. It was nice to see a different color selection and this could have been such a dramatic, cool option if the quality had been there.
My jaw dropped! At that price???!!!
