Tom Ford Bitten Berry & Spiked Cherry Lip Slicks Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Bitten Berry
Tom Ford Beauty Bitten Berry Lip Slick ($54.00 for oz.) is a subtle, dark plum with cooler undertones and a glossy, high-shine finish. It had sheer to semi-sheer coverage, as described, with a smooth, almost cream-like texture that was lightweight, non-tacky, and very comfortable to wear, though it took me a couple of uses to realize I did not need to apply much to get even coverage. There was slight color that filled my lip lines, but I did not notice it from a normal viewing distance. The color lasted for four hours and was nicely moisturizing.

Formula Overview
$54.00/0.1 oz. - $540.00 Per Ounce
The Lip Slick formula is supposed to be an "oil-infused tint" that hydrates lips and gives a "daring hint of color" and "high-shine." The applicator is a rollerball, which slides across the lips easily, though first you twist to release the formula. I can't recall the last time (if ever) I've tried a lip product with that type of applicator! The texture of the gloss was emollient with a lot of slip and almost jelly-like but not quite as dense. The formula had a mirror-like shine and yielded a sheer to semi-sheer, noticeable tint to lips that lasted for four hours but was very hydrating. I didn't notice any scent or taste.

Spiked Cherry
Tom Ford Beauty Spiked Cherry Lip Slick ($54.00 for oz.) is a brighter, medium-dark raspberry pink with cool, blue undertones and a mirror-like shine. It had semi-sheer to medium coverage–more than a bit of a tint but still had visible translucency–that covered the lips evenly with a smidgen of color settling into my deeper lip lines, though it wasn’t noticeable from a normal viewing distance. The texture was smooth, lightweight, non-sticky, and comfortable to wear, though it felt a bit slippery. It wore well for four hours, though the stain lingered for a bit longer (maybe an hour or so) and was very hydrating.

How much product is in these?
Definitely a LUXURY product… I mean, I don’t mind forking out $$$+ for something really amazing but these… don’t wow me. Good to know they are hydrating though!
Sorry, I did not receive any boxes, so I did not have that information, and Sephora doesn’t list any oz. either!
No problem, I’m just extra cautious after I got stung with the Smashbox eyeshadow primer – it looks like an opaque lipgloss tube with a doe foot wand so I assumed about 6 – 8g… it was WAAAAY more expensive that my usual Milani squeeze tube but I wanted something with better coverage so I bought it, then took it home and realised it was only 2.5mL! I was shocked – I ended up paying about 4x as much for about 75% less product . Never buying Smashbox again…
I mean, I ‘ll spring for a Chanel or Guerlain gloss and all but I ain’t paying TF prices for a measly 1.2mL of product!
It is my number #1 pet peeve when retailers don’t list product size/weight/volume online.
Totally understand! You just never know when they’ll skimp 🙁
Nordstrom lists .1 oz
I have the box in front of me (I picked up Bitten Berry during the Rouge sale) and it says .1 fluid ounce/3ml.
Thank you!!
Of course 🙂 That’s one downside to getting PR sometimes. They gotta remember to note the amounts somewhere for you haha.
Instead of my once (or twice) yearly Lux lipstick treat that I do using the Sephora 20% coupon, I *may* get one of these instead! Spiked Cherry is a pink that I know I can actually wear. And pinks and fuchsias can be very tricky for me, especially cooler veering shades. It will all depend on how much product is actually in that tube!
These are really cute! I’m not sure they would show up much on my lip color.
My lips are very dark (violet-red) and it’s not a huge dose of color but it’s not meant to be. It’s a very natural effect. I have Bitten Berry and the name is spot-on. It’s a very bitten, fresh lip look. It’s not pigmented in the way his glosses are (those are opaque) as it’s much more of a healthy touch of color. Your lips will read like there’s a tint to them and a glossiness with for sure of a flush of color but it’s definitely the kind of shade that suits everyone as your lip tone has an impact on the shade.
Beautiful shades, but oh so expensive.
Spike Cherry adds a nice pop to the lips! Would be great for spring or summer!
Love the colors, shine, moisturizing effect, lightweight and comfortable feel you report. Not in love with the price, fI eel a product like this should cost less than a full size lipstick.
I bought one of these during the Sephora sale. It won’t be everyone’s preference for where to spend the money, but they are beautifully hydrating and not at all thick or sticky. Personally, I’m pleased with Bitten Berry.
I love love love how they look on the lips, so juicy and pretty!!!
While these shades don’t suit me, I’m a bit smitten by the glossy result. Would love to wear in Springtime.
