Tom Ford Bare Peach (23) Lip Color

Tom Ford Bare Peach (23) Lip Color ($52.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a light-medium, peachy coral with warm, orange undertones and very fine pearl. It had semi-opaque pigmentation, but it was definitely thinner and more translucent compared to a lot of the permanent range (typically shades without shimmer). The texture was thin but not gritty (I couldn’t feel the shimmer) and applied evenly. It lasted for four hours on me and was neither drying nor hydrating. Tom Ford Beauty Demsey (DC, $36.00) is more shimmery, lighter (95% similar). ColourPop Peppermint (LE, $7.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). MAC Frolic (P, $20.00) is lighter (90% similar). Buxom Coral Confession (P, $22.00) is less shimmery, lighter, cooler (90% similar). Revlon Peach Me (P, $8.49) is darker (90% similar). Chanel Or Beige (107) (LE, $45.00) is less shimmery, darker, cooler (90% similar). Surratt Beauty Lili Doree (P, $36.00) is more shimmery, lighter, glossier (90% similar). Chanel Mystique (57) (DC, $34.00) is darker (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Sweet Spot (05) (P, $55.00) is less shimmery, darker, glossier (85% similar). Fenty Beauty Supermoon (LE, $19.00) is more shimmery, darker (85% similar). Too Faced Melted Coral (P, $21.00) is darker, brighter, glossier (85% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Lara (LE, $36.00) is more shimmery, cooler (85% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Twist of Fate (LE, $57.00) is less shimmery, darker, brighter (90% similar). Dior Charm (068) (LE, $38.00) is warmer (85% similar). Bobbi Brown Retro Coral (DC, $37.00) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). YSL Coral Plume (79) (P, $38.00) is darker (85% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Naked Coral (21) (P, $57.00) is darker, cooler (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Tom Ford Something Wild (46) Lip Color ($52.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a brightened, medium-dark pink-coral with warm undertones and a natural sheen. It had mostly opaque pigmentation with a nicely creamy consistency that glided onto the lips easily and delivered smooth, even coverage. The color wore well for five hours and was moderately hydrating. Christian Louboutin Beaute Miss Loubi (P, $90.00) is cooler (95% similar). ColourPop Frenemie (LE, $7.00) is darker (95% similar). Bobbi Brown Pink Guava (DC, $37.00) is warmer (95% similar). MAC Toxic Tale (LE, $19.00) is lighter, brighter (95% similar). YSL Orange Crepe (82) (P, $38.00) is less shimmery, cooler (90% similar). Dior Sunset (660) (LE, $34.00) is more shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Make Up For Ever #37 (DC, $19.00) is cooler, less glossy (90% similar). Smashbox LA Sunset (P, $21.00) is darker, more muted (90% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty Je t'aime (238) (P, $30.00) is darker, less glossy (90% similar). Guerlain Rouge Kiss (325) (P, $37.00) is more muted (90% similar). MAC Origami Orange (LE, $20.00) is lighter, glossier (90% similar). Estee Lauder Blossom Bright (P, $30.00) is cooler (90% similar). MAC Burmese Kiss (LE, $19.00) is lighter, cooler (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty True Coral (P, $36.00) is more shimmery, cooler (90% similar). NARS Grace (P, $34.00) is lighter, brighter, cooler (90% similar). MAC Lady at Play (P, $25.00) is warmer (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Les Mepris (LE, $52.00) is lighter (85% similar). Tarte Daiquiri (P, $21.00) is darker (95% similar). NARS Kelly (P, $34.00) is lighter (90% similar). Chanel Suzy (460) (LE, $37.00) is more muted (90% similar). Top 20 dupes listed, see the rest. FORMULA OVERVIEW | Tom Ford Lips & Boys Lip Colors ($35.00 for 0.07 oz.) are “clutch-sized” lipsticks; it uses the same formula as the full-sized Lip Colors (which retail for $52 for 0.10 oz.), but the packaging feels the same, just smaller. Tom Ford’s lipstick formula is supposed to be hydrating, pigmented, and have a more luminous finish (there is also a specifically Matte formula available that is much flatter in finish). This year’s launch of Lips & Boys features 25 new shades that are part of the new “metallic” finish, and then the return of 25 shades from last year. In general, the formula is semi-opaque to opaque with a lightly creamy consistency that doesn’t slide around a lot but doesn’t cling to the lips. I get anywhere from three to six hours of wear out of them, and most shades are lightly hydrating over time. The formula is vanilla-scented with no discernible taste.

Ooh, I love those, especially Something Wild, interesting that there’s lots of cheaper dupes! I’ve been wanting to get BB’s Pink Guava, but it’s good to see there’s Colour Pop’s Frenemie and MAC’s Toxic Tale as alternatives.

These are 2 bangin’ hot shades! Love both, and therein lies my dilemma, I already have a few dupes of Something Wild ( I totally LOVE that name!), and also have a near enough dupe for Bare Peach in MAC Reel Sexy, I think.
Oh, but that summer vibe is so entrancing! (Especially after these past couple nights of temps dropping into the upper 30’s! Brrrr!!!)

These aren’t my colors, but glad they got good scores. I have to say, Tom Ford has a huge range of shades, including some more unique ones, and there’s something for everyone (at a price, of course!)
