So tugged by Petallic Metallic….
“Did a product catch your eye this week?”
SOBS. YES. I love MAC’s attention to annual cherry blossom viewing- The arrival of spring!! Out with the cold and dead, everything is sprouting and flowering!! I so wanted Potent Petal. From pictures on instagram, the so few videos on Youtube and Christine’s swatches- I have been so torn on many of the collection’s products. Potent Petal is such a pretty red but I have Revlon’s Fire & Ice and it looks very comparable… Did I want Cheery Cherry? Yes! But I don’t really wear fuchsia anymore and I need to use what I have. (Sakura SZN/Season would have likely made me look dead…) The blushes were so neat. I don’t have any formula like that. I just couldn’t settle on which color. I’m trying to be mindful of my age and I wasn’t too sure how often I’d actually reach for either HD Cherry Tree or Peaches N Dreams. I didn’t want to risk going inside anywhere to test them personally or see if the setting spray was migraine triggering. :/ Sigh. I still have wonderful things to use in my hoard.
Those cherry blossoms! My new daughter in law’s aunt (a retired event planner who still has her event planning mojo fully in force) held a little celebration for the couple’s move to Japan in a few weeks and cherry blossoms were the theme. They were on all the tables in simple Japanese-looking vases, on the place cards, on the “advice” cards – on everything, including the cake. All of this makes me feel even stronger about getting the MAC highlighter, though I know I’d never use it (I don’t even have any of the dupes because it really isn’t my colour).
