theBalm Cabana Boy Blush Review, Photos, Swatches

theBalm Cabana Boy Blush

Kick Off Your Summer with a Cabana Boy of Your Own

theBalm Cabana Boy Blush ($21.00 for 0.3 oz.) is one whopper of a blush! It’s a muted raspberry pink with a subtle golden sheen that looks more luminous than shimmery. It’s plenty pigmented, but it can be sheered out for a subtler cheek, too (thankfully!)–definitely recommend using a light hand with this shade. The texture is soft, smooth, and silky. It applies beautifully and without a fuss.

It’s housed in a cardboard compact with vintage imagery. theBalm also gives you plenty o’ product–a veritable blush brick at 0.3 oz.–and you won’t have to shell out $40 to take advantage of the value, either. It’s reasonably priced as a high-end brand at $21 a pop.

I dont usually want things immediately after seeing them on here, and always have to check it out first .. but this color is right up my alley I definitely think I need it .. I like the goldem sheen it gives perfect for summer and the pink is good for all year round.

I have had that blush for a long time, and I love it !! It can be too harsh on me If I apply to much because I am paper white though, Still love it though!!

I have a question for you Christine, Im between NC25-30(Nc 30 being too yellow) and I want to have that sunkissed looked (glowy/shimmer skin) what is a good product to achieve this without looking like a grease ball =/

Im so glad you did this review! I absolutely love Thebalm products! I have Hot mama, sexy mama, Time balm concealer (the BEST, IMO), and Bahama mama. I might have to add this to my stash, I love how that blush looks!Thank you!

Ooh! I wondered what was on your cheeks in the Dazzle l/s swatch.

It looks similar to Benefit (cutesy cardboard packaging) I don’t think I’ve ever seen the Balm in the UK though =(

I have this and the swatch is accuate color-wise. Maybe they have changed the formula because mine is not shimmery (which I prefer btw). I love it! I don’t reach for it everyday. It’s great when you want to do a pink cheeks/lips combo (with minimal eye look).

I love this blush, but it is such a fragile blush. I dropped it out of my hand and it hit my desk, half of the blush shattered.

For those of us in the UK, theBalm products can be bought from cultbeauty.co.uk

Am considering placing an order myself for this and the Time Balm under eye concealer that got so many votes on the post earlier this week. Need to find some reviews of the company first though because I’ve never heard of them…

Sorry, I didn’t read closely enough – they stock some theBalm products but not Cabana Boy. The only other place I’ve seen it so far is at Debenhams online but it’s part of a set

Ah, I already have Hot Mama and Down Boy and so far I have managed to resist this… but not for too much longer I don’t think!

Just arrived today and I luv it! I am a brown/tan girl and the pigmentation is great. It is versatile and you can build up the intensity if needed. I tried it with a smokey eye and I like that it gave a hint of color but didn’t compete with the dramatic color on my eyes. I would say this is a MUST have . . . kudos to theBalm for achieving quality and versatility with this blush and that will work with most skin tones, which is rare and hard to do.

this is such a pretty shade– if I ever thought I could finish the blushes I already own I’d definitely get this. have hot mama & down boy but this would probably have been better on my skintone. maybe they’ll include it in a palette so I can justify it based on the other items 🙂

I purchased this blush about a month ago and I’m addicted! I use it as both a blush and an eyeshadow…color is perfect “smokey rose”. It is highly pigmented in my opinion so a light hand is necessary. It should last a long, long time 🙂

I bought this about a month ago..love it. I use as an eyeshadow as well. Perfect with cool and warm skintone and eyeshadow palettes. It is a gorgeous smoky rosy blush with a LOT of color payoff. Use a light hand and blend. You will love it!
