The Summer Season: Korres #18 Peach Lipstick
The Summer Season: Korres #18 Peach Lipstick
Korres #18 Peach Mango Butter Lipstick ($18.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a semi-vibrant darkened rose with gold shimmer and a glossy sheen. I don’t have any idea why it’s named “Peach,” because there isn’t anything peach about it. In fact, I swatched this twice and had to have the tube next to me to ensure I wasn’t going crazy. It’s a gorgeous shade of pink for the summer that’s bright enough to perk up your pucker, but it’s not electric, so those who aren’t sure about their bright lipsticks might enjoy this one as a nice stepping stone. Korres’ Mango Butter lipsticks have a lightly sweetened fruit scent (“mango”) with a moisturizing, creamy lipstick formula that glides onto lips and looks even without drying them out.
Is this the right pink lipstick for you? Would you wear it?
The Summer Season is a series of posts featuring bright, vibrant shades of coral, orange, and pink lipsticks and lipglosses — all perfect for a summer of fun — that runs through July 2010.
this looks abs stunning on u. perfect for a date night.
That’s such a pretty color. Definitely not peach though. Korres lip color names often puzzle me.
mmm princess peach maybe? hehe. LOVE this colour. I’m such a sucker for anything with gold shimmer in it.
Soooooo pretty! I can tell Summer Season is going to be a problem (for my wallet!)
Hope it would suit my colouring, such a gorgeous colour. But I’m freckled with pale skin so will have to test it out first. Love your lip reviews, so informative. Urban Decay Peroxide Lipstick looks fabulous. And I’m dying to buy Mac Fresh Salmon. What Mac lipglass would you pair with this?
Nymphette!!
Looks gorgeous on you Christine!!!!
that color looks absolutely gorgeous on you!!
such a gorgeous color. and I agree with everyone, looks beautiful on you!
Love this colour! The name is really odd, though. Does Korres just use a random word generator for their product names? Didn’t they have a gloss called Natural Purple that was anything but?
LOL, I think so… it’s like, “WHAT?” Totally a gorgeous shade and all, but yeah, never buy a Korres product based on its “name” – gotta read the description for sure!
i like the addition of the how it looks on your face! thanks =)
I so want it, this is beautiful!
It’s not for my olive coloring or makeup style, as I need a more brown-based peach, but it looks absolutely gorgeous on you!!
this is the perfect bright pink to me.
Jeeze, pretty!
How long does it last and how does it fade throughout the day on the lips?
I get about four hours of wear, and it fades naturally.
This is a pretty shade and I think I would need to try one of the Korres lipsticks one day. MMMM mango butter.
WOW, thats really pretty
I was also surprised that it’s called “Peach!” Nothing peachy about it! The color looks great on you, though! I might have to check this one out.
Thanks Christine, another temptation, I have the fuchsia one and now I’ll have to buy this one, you are such an enabler and I love you for it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think this is more of a coral pink, than peach, but nevertheless a very nice shade. I notice that it is quite sheer too, isn’t it?
I’d say it’s semi-opaque – it’s not totally sheer, but it still changes up my natural lip color quite a bit.
stunning lip color! oh and i love the new way you do your swatches with a full face picture 🙂 i have never seen a beauty site as helpful and informative as yours. 🙂
this one is STUNNING!!  i’ve been looking for a perfect pinky-rose…i hope this one doesn’t run too pink!
i’ve been loving all the korres lippies!!  i should try one…thanks as usual for your review christine!
Oh me likie!! Although, I agree with Anja about the color name….this looks more watermelon than peach…..just saying…..
I like this series better already! Maybe it’s because I can never carry off pale pinks and corals too well. Damn my pigmented lips!
what a beautiful shade!
and its kinda sheer .. so perfect for summer
I’m usually a sucker for light pinks and nudes which is why I was kind of sad the Spring season series was over..but I’m really starting to like the bright colours featured in the Summer series..it’s inspiring and makes me think of sunnier days 🙂
Looks really retro-classy to me. June Cleaver would wear this to a backyard barbecue. 🙂
I’d totally wear this. Gorgeous. It definitely looks more coral than peach. How strange.
How long of wear do you get out of these? I really like this one and am thinking about getting it!
I get around four hours or so!
Such a pretty color! I was so looking forward to your “Summer Season” series! Definitely right up my alley 🙂
I’d wear it!
Based on how fantastically gorgeous it looks on you, as well as how much I was drawn to it (and swatched it) I bought it yesterday! My first Korres product! Looove it. I think this could be the beginning of a new obsession.. all lipsticks should feel like this!
OMG, yay! I am so happy you lovee it, Kimberley! 🙂
