The Best & Worst of Fenty Beauty Chill Owt Collection
Fenty Beauty Chill Owt Collection had really impressive campaign visuals–some of the more inspiring for me, personally–but the products within the collection left something to be desired. I had no luck with the Eye + Lip Pencils, while the lipstick trios were decent but a mixed bag (and likely will come down to personal preference in coverage/texture). The Mattemoiselle 10/10 Set performed the best, but hopefully, we’ll see the shades released individually (the brand confirmed they were coming but no date was given).

I was so in love with the promo pics, but the products just didn’t live up to them.
Wow – what a mammoth range to review Christine and the results were quite interesting. The products rated across the spectrum – some excellent and some really poor. There was really nothing in the collection that interested me, the shades were not those I would use.
Thank you for your reviews Christine – it was a lot of work.
Like you, Christine, I loved the promo pics for this collection and was super excited for it t release. Prior to this release, Fenty Beauty had more wins than losses and so I felt comfortable in picking up the Honey Metallic and Money Metallic sets for my daughter as part of her stocking stuffers for this year. I also picked up the Money trio for myself. The first time I tried to apply them I literally tugged my eye lid from the inner corner all the way to the outer corner without the pencil moving one iota (that is the beaufy of crepy eye lids) and right away, I knew these were bad. I returned all. So sad as this could have been an epic release as it fit the season so well.
It’s a serious shame that the products didn’t live up to the beauty of the packaging here. I’ll just wait for the Matchstix and lipsticks to be offered as singles. To bad we haven’t heard if she’ll do likewise with the loose pigments.
What they said. Great promo photos, high expectations due to past performance, and very uneven/disappointing. I was glad to snag ?summer nights (snakeskin, et al) and got snow nights. Just love fog snog as a transformer, esp for those dry ABH greiges. Swatching the rest gave away the poor performance, so very glad I liked before I leapt. I do hope that some of the better shades (stone cold, AIR?) get released as singles.
So weird — I swear I had a comment in here, but it disappeared. What I said (or meant to say — maybe I just thought about putting in a comment) was that I did end up getting the Snow Nights trio, and I mixed Frost Sauce with KvD’s NaYeon to get a shimmery deep sepia color which makes me happy.
I also hope they release some of the Match Stix as singles — I would buy Beach Bum, Pink Lemonade, Hibiscus, and Bordeaux Brat without hesitation. Possible also Cognac and Blonde.
Checked spam and nothing was there, so maybe you were like me… where you reply in your brain but forget to do the typing part of it, LOL! 😉
