Tarte Stunner Tarteist PRO Glow Liquid Highlighter Review, Photos, Swatches
Stunner
Tarte Stunner Tarteist PRO Glow Liquid Highlighter ($29.00 for 0.56 oz.) is a champagne gold with subtle, warm undertones and a sparkling sheen. The coverage was buildable from semi-sheer to opaque, but for totally opaque results, I would recommend applying a semi-sheer layer, allow it to set, and then go back with a little more but would just pat it over the areas you want to intensify the most and do minimal blending to avoid lifting any base products.
It’s a liquid highlighter in a squeeze-tube format that’s supposed to be buildable “from sheer to intense” with a more “hybrid gel-cream” texture that can be applied on its own or mixed in with base products. It had a creamier consistency–much denser and more gel-like compared to many highlighters–that stretches out well on the skin. It took a little longer to dry down, but it did set and did not feel tacky or wet afterward. It was fairly easy to use on bare skin, with foundation, or applied on top of liquid foundation or over loose powder. Used on its own as a cheek highlighter, it wore well for eight hours on me.

Your eye look makes me smile — please tell me you left the house like that. 🙂
I don’t remember if I left with this on in particular, but rest easily knowing that I very often leave the house with two different eyes on – that is pretty routine for me 😉
This looks like a really promising highlighter! I really like liquid formula’s and the colour seems quite unique! I’m so glad it’s quite similar to CoverFX Celestial – one on my wishlist!
It is a lovely hue!
Very nice, softer looking highlighter! Also seems rather easy to dupe within ones stash if one has many highlighters, though.
Definitely easily duped!
The thing is: why use a trickier to use liquid highlighter if it doesn’t give you some special effect or benefit to an easier to use powder one? I don’t see anything special about this finish, in fact it looks less highlight-y than most powders.
Some might prefer the blendability of one – especially someone who doesn’t use a lot of powder products or who does not wear foundation, a liquid/cream version can be easier on bare skin than powder. It can also be mixed! 🙂
So pretty! We don’t have Tarte here, and I’ve not felt a need to investigate if I can get their products somehow, now I sort of do as both eyemakeups look so nice. I’ll have to start investigate as I also like your eye makeup(s) a lot. I’ll not buy anything though until after I’ve read the reviews.
Thank you, Helene! 😀
That ‘s a beautiful eye look (s) you’ve got going! The highlighter is pretty too.
Haha! Thanks, Genevieve!
Can I hope Tarte make this shade permanent because not only the hue is nice but I also love this sort of packaging for liquid products over a doe foot applicator.
(TARTE MAKE BELIEVE IN YOURSELF eyeshadow looks FTW. 😉 )
Hmmm, maybe I’ve got highlighter overload. I’m just not into this.
