Tarte Exposed & Sparkler Tarteist PRO Glow Liquid Highlighters Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Exposed
Tarte Exposed Tarteist PRO Glow Liquid Highlighter ($29.00 for 0.56 oz.) is a light-medium gold with warm, orange undertones and a pearly sheen. It had semi-sheer, buildable color payoff that was mostly opaque after three layers.
It’s a liquid highlighter in a squeeze-tube format that’s supposed to be buildable “from sheer to intense” with a more “hybrid gel-cream” texture that can be applied on its own or mixed in with base products. It had a creamier consistency–much denser and more gel-like compared to many highlighters–that stretches out well on the skin. It took a little longer to dry down, but it did set and did not feel tacky or wet afterward. I liked the versatility in coverage, as the more gel-like texture made it easy to spread, diffuse, and sheer out but did not sheer out too quickly (where building up would have become difficult). The highlighter worked well mixed with the two foundations I tried (Tarte’s Rainforest of the Sea and Lancome Teint Idole) and did not overly warm them, just made them look a little dewier. It wore well for eight hours as a cheek highlighter.

Sparkler
Tarte Sparkler Tarteist PRO Glow Liquid Highlighter ($29.00 for 0.56 oz.) is a medium-dark, golden copper with warm, brown undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. It had larger, chunkier sparkle, so if you’re not a fan of glitter, this would not be a shade for you! It had semi-sheer, buildable pigmentation, and I was able to build up to opaque coverage with three layers. It had a stronger base color, too, so it worked as a subtle bronzer on my skin tone when I wore it as more medium coverage. The texture was smooth, gel-like but not too watery or “cool” in feel, so it applied well without going on unevenly or sheering out too quickly. The highlighter wore well for eight hours on my cheeks.

Wow, both colors are gorgeous! It’s interesting how the lighter color has more sheen and the darker one more shimmer/glitter
The Sparkler pressed version is more sparkly as well, so it seems like they intended for it to be that way!
Sparkler is a lovely shade 😉 I really love this format and formula so far! I’m hoping to swatch these in-store when they’re finally in Sephora!
Can’t wait for you to see ’em in person!
I like the second one!! It’s a pretty colour/tone
Yay 😀
As I’m not exactly averse to glitter, I really love Sparkler in this liquid formula! In particular, because it sets.
Exposed is a beautiful highlighter that I would find very useful mixing with foundation or BB/CC cream for a nice dewiness and glow factor! Thing is, this sure seems to be the spring/ summer of liquid highlighters, so there are so many to pick from!
Exposed would be so nice mixed in with other products! But yes, we are not hurting for liquid highlighter options any longer, lol!
While I can see why the glitter would be a put-off for some, I really like that second color.
Cute but yeah, I must have highlighter overload.
