Tarte Bestie Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint Review, Photos, Swatches
Bestie
Tarte Bestie Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint ($20.00 for 0.20 fl. oz.) is a muted, rosy pink with strong, warm brown udnertones and a matte finish. It had mostly opaque coverage that went on smoothly and evenly, though it looked a little streaky initially–but it seemed to self-level and dry down to a streak-free finish.
The Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint (whew! that’s a mouthful) is supposed to have full coverage, matte finish, be kiss-proof, and lasts “all day.” Most of their claims are accurate; it had good pigmentation, was matte, and didn’t transfer, though it only wore for five and a half hours, so it’s not the most long-wearing lipsticks I’ve come across (particularly when it comes to liquid lipstick formulas). It was lightly drying, and it had a softer, more natural feel on the lips that wasn’t as prone to cracking or weighing lips down.

Doll it says too faced at the beginning of your review 😉
I’m so sorry!
In the description you put “Too Faced.” Oops?
So sorry!
I’ve been looking for a few new shade from this range that is more nude (concealer-like!) but this shade is really growing on me now 😛
The formula description sounds so much better than 98% of these dry matte lipsticks! Softer and non-cracking make this one seem far more appealing, for sure.
I love the colour, it’s my go to colour and it is a soft matte, the lips look beautiful and lush still. Nice product.
Not for me. I rarely say this either but I don’t like the color on you! It seems to wash you out! Maybe it’s that the other makeup is too subtle? Color plus texture? Not enough contrast with the skin… something is going on here, lol. Normally, you good in just about everything!
Awesome that this was rated well! I’m looking forward in getting one of the red shades. Liquid matte lipstick that dries down and is transfer proof happens to be my boyfriend’s favorite formula, since he always wants to kiss me, and he’s the type to immediately wipe his lips after when I’m wearing lipstick lol
You don’t have to post this – I just wanted to leave the comment for the admin of this blog. I really don’t like the newest setup of the blog. I know it’s been around for a while but it’s really unnerving because now I have to find another swatching blog and Musings of a Muse doesn’t have nearly as much as this site but the setup for seeing entire collections is far superior. (Low tech, but superior…) It’s almost impossible to find entire collections on your site now. Say I wanted to see all of the colors in the Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint collection. Well, I can no longer do that from the page of a single color. And I can’t find the collection by search, either. In fact, the only way I’m able to search your site now is by typing my keywords into google along with “temptalia.” This problem is not unique to this single product. The problem is site wide and makes it incredibly frustrating to use the site anymore. Links to the other colors in the collection or a link to the entire collection is needed.
You can find all swatches right in the Swatch Gallery… just select “By Formula” and type in “Tarte Quick Dry” and you’ll see it auto-populate options (it is the first one), which you can select from. The review is designed to only show swatches for the products featured, not all products within a formula, and that has always been true of the way review posts are shown 🙂
You would see: http://www.temptalia.com/swatches/tarte-tarteist-quick-dry-matte-lip-paint/#/formula
Or you looked at any shade of Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint, there is a large button that says “Formula Swatches,” which shows you swatches within the formula. Or if you looked at the page for Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint (http://www.temptalia.com/product/tarte-tarteist-quick-dry-matte-lip-paint/) is also shows the button “Formula Swatches.” These pages are exactly the same as they have always been.
I am not sure what search terms you are using, but I typed in “tarte quick dry lip paint” right in the search at the top of the site (magnifying glass) and the first result was “Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint” and there’s a large, black button that says “View Swatches.” I’m not sure what you are looking for? You can select the shade, view all swatches, or get dupes for the entire formula.
