  • Haul: Diptyque holiday candles (one of each, mini sizes), Surratt Brilliante Idee (finally in stock!)
  • Weekend plans: Recover! I successfully made Thanksgiving dinner for my husband and I yesterday. In fact, my husband said I did an excellent job (and I feel confident he wouldn’t have unduly complimented me if it wasn’t good). I’m totally planning on cuddling with Mellan for at least half the day.
  • Any non-beauty Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale you’re hoping to take advantage of?: I’m looking to replace my keyboard, so I’m eyeing Das Keyboard’s sale!

Haul: Ordered Zoya polishes in Neve, Ember, Waverly, Tara, Lorna, Saint, and Aurora.
Weekend plans: Finishing a paper, and doing some shopping. Probably also some puppy cuddling 🙂
Non-beauty sales: Going to head to the mall later today as I am in dire need of some winter clothes.

Haul:
ASOS: Paul & Joe Pressed Face Powder (Purple), Paul & Joe & Warner Bros. Limited Edition Powder Case (Loony Tunes/Tweetie Bird)

ASOS (30% off): Barry M Lip Balm (Jam Jar, Rosie Tea), Barry M Natural Glow 2 Shadow and Blush Palette, Barry M Make Me Blush (Fairy Cake), Paul & Joe Limited Edition Eye Color (Stroll in the Park), Paul & Joe Holidays Lipgloss (Mulberry Spice)
B-Glowing: 75% off – Illamasqua Pure Pigments (Draco), Lip Contouring Pencil (Feisty), Cream Pigment (Mould); 20% off – Paul & Joe Warner Bros./Loony Tunes Lipstick Cases (All 3 styles), Warner Bros./Loony Tunes Lipstick Cases Compact (1), Lipstick Refill (Picnic, Silk Stockings, Kiss in the Park). It took 3 hours to place this order bc their website was terrible: slow, pages kept going blank or going to “cannot find”. I was entitled to a Paul & Joe GWP and every time I added it to my cart, I would add the gift and delete my entire cart. After 3 tries of starting over, I skipped the GWP and sent them a message; they did add the GWP immediately. I ordered the powder compact in the hopes they get the duo I want back in stock. I could have ordered it as a backorder but B-Glowing holds your entire order until backorders are in stock (could be weeks).

BH Cosmetics (Black Friday sale): Nude Rose Night Fall – 12 Color Eyeshadow Palette, Modern Neutrals – 28 Color Matte Eyeshadow Palette, Supernova – 18 Color Baked Eyeshadow Palette, Smokey Eyes – 28 Color Eyeshadow Palette, Marble Collection – Warm Stone – 12 Color Eyeshadow Palette

Birchbox: Kiehl’s Butterstick Lip Treatment, Marvis (Mouthwash Concentrate and Whitening Toothpaste – more decorative for one of my guest bathrooms) Chosungah 22 Flavorful Lipstick (Chai Tea), Cargo Blush and Bronzer Duo with Travel Pouch (GWP), $5.40 off –not sure which items but it was applied to my order at checkout

Birchbox (20% off plus $20.10 off in rewards): Oribe – Shampoo, Conditioner and Mask for Beautiful Color (all largest sizes) – Backups, I saved $100!

Cargo (15% off): Limited Edition Chill in The Six Eye Shadow Palette. Wish I had realized Ulta had this 25% off – oops!

Deciem (Black Friday Deals): Hylamide Set: Subq Anti-Age, Subq Eyes, High Efficiency Face Cleaner , HA Blur, Hydra-Density Mist. The set was 60% off regular pricing!

Dolls Kill (30% off): Concrete Minerals Zombie Girl Eyeshadow Collection, Peaches & Cream Glossy Lips Set, Arcane Bunny Society I’m Cookies Sugar Scrub, Arcane Bunny Society Damn Fine Coffee Lip Balm. If anyone else tried to shop this retailer when their sale went live, they know what a disaster it was. the site crashed. It took hours to get my order through.

Illamasqua: 70% off – Vital Palette, Intense Lipgloss (Boost); Skin Base Foundation (6), Skin Base Lift (Light 1), Lip set (Deep Berry)

Illamasqua (20% off): Cream Blush (Laid, Lies, Promise), Gleam (Aurora), Concealer (115)

MAC: Clearance – Cremesheen Glass (Right Up My Alley, Throw a Spare), Cyber Monday Sample Kit (GWPx2), Black Plum Friday

Saks (20% off): Shiseido Glow Enhancing Primer, NARS Thousand Worlds Lip & Nail Set, MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish Highlighter (Soft Frost)

Sephora (Paid with account credit): Ciaté London Wonderwand Intensely Volumising Mascara (Black Magic)

Target (25% off): Nuxe Lip Balm and Foot Cream (2, clearance), Cake Beauty Vanilla Body Polish (2, clearance), Yes to Coconuts Lip Balm, Sonia Kashuk Holiday Brush Cup (going to use this as a pen holder on my desk)

Vamp stamp (Pre-Order) – Medium

W7 (30% off): The Naughty Nine (Hard Day’s Night and Bangkok Nights), Eye Got the Power (Temptation), Candy Floss, Eye Want It!

White Sands Haircare (25% off): ER Fusion, Orchids Oil, Orchid Bliss Shampoo, Infinity Hair Spray

Zoya (70% off): Olivera, Saint, August, 32 oz Polish Remover (2)

Weekend plans: Recover from my Mother staying over.

Any non-beauty Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale you’re hoping to take advantage of?: Unsure. I didn’t include it as it wasn’t beauty related, but in addition to my beauty hauls, I also finished shopping for the holidays.

Apparently I didn’t agree with my notion of cutting myself off…already starting my next haul list…. I have been good though as I have only bought things I planned on getting at some point anyway, so technically no impulsive purchases.

Erin, Hahahaha – I know! I actually went back and ordered a second Hylamide set and 2 Chemistry sets. I’ve never tried either but am bumping up my am routine from The Ordinary (which is great) and I’ve heard such good things about the Chemistry stuff. It was so reasonable in price, i figured it was worth trying.

Haul: I built one 8-palette of single e/s on ABH last night and ordered it, I can’t even remember which! I wanted to buy a second, but I was at my parents’ house in the country and their connection is practically non-existent. I tried to get more this morning after we left and they are sold out of everything ? At least I got something!
Weekend plans: on our way back to Chicago now, I’ll probably do a bit of online shopping! I stay farrrr away from the brick & mortar stores on Black Friday.
Any non-beauty Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale you’re hoping to take advantage of?: I did buy my husband some things (xmas gifts) from jcrew- their holiday sale is great! I might snag a few things from The Limited for myself.

At least you were able to get one in! They definitely sold quickly (I expected it, 60% was ridiculous), but here’s hoping they’ll restock.

Ridiculous seems an understatement in this case! Given the 60% off, you knew it was going to be a blow-out. I had no intention of buying shadows or anything Anastasia, but that was too good to pass up. I’m glad you were able to get an order in Julia. I was reading some comments on Instagram and people were freaking out in shock that everything sold out. Not sure what they expected was going to happen.

Frankly, I’m impressed the site still processed orders right at midnight (I ordered some brushes and some eyeshadows, which I only had in palettes, to see if they actually were reformulated!). It required refreshing/some patience, but given how discounted everything was, it went more smoothly than I expected!

Agreed – the changeover happened really smoothly. I didn’t have any issues since I pre-filled my shipping and billing info and had saved everything to my wishlist well ahead of time so I could be sure about what colors I wanted. It was easy to move it all to the cart a half hour or so before the sale, so I just had to put in my card info and hit submit. I was anticipating chaos, so I overthought it a bit but it worked. I’ve never tried ABH brushes, so I’ll be curious what you think.

no purchases this week.
No plans for the weekend, my mother-in-law cooked a Thanksgiving feast so all I did was eat!
We need a new laptop.

xoxo for the handsome Mellan. I hope he feels better and all goes well with him, please keep me posted. Have a great weekend Christine.

Haul: Just two pairs of earrings from Sumayyah Said So (review is on my blog) and one pair from the Smithsonian museum. I went to the National Museum of the American Indian on Thanksgiving.

Weekend plans: Hoping to see a friend and maybe get some chores done.

Any non-Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale you’re hoping to take advantage of?: Not any I can think of. I am trying to save for purchases I want to make for Standing Rock and a children’s wish list I contribute to every year (The Baltimore Native Life Lines Center has a gift sponsorship for Native children. Last year I got paired up with a 5 year old named Kara and I bought her a tricycle). So a lot of my money will be going toward that this year.

That is really kind of you! We always contribute to the Family Giving Tree during the holidays, which is neat with how they list specific people and their holiday wish list item.

Chris, if you have any links to how one can give to Standing Rock, please list them? Because I’ve been wanting to do what I can for our Water Protectors, but am worried that some links are not 100% legit. Last Sunday’s horrifying incident sent me into the deepest depression I’ve felt in many years.

Haul: All my VIB came in this week. I got a whole bunch of skincare and some makeup. I also ordered sheets from Target last night as my consumer duty to spend money on Black Friday sales.

Weekend Plans: I really want to recover. I’m not feeling well, Elroy has another vet appointment today after work for his recheck and a new issue… It’s the busiest day of the year at my work today. I’ve been invited to a “Friendsgiving” on Saturday by some other service member families. I should go but I’m pretty pooped. I’d have to cook my own food as I’ve got a ton of allergies and I won’t have leftovers from my holiday by then. Sunday is gaming with friends though I’m tempted to skip that too! I’m pretty worn out.

Non Beauty BF: I got sheets from Tarjay. I’d also recommend the Fieldcrest down alternative comforter and the Ninja blender they have on sale. I got them this summer and they are both excellent. The jury is still out on the sheets but nice sheets for a king size are hard to find affordably.

I hope Elroy is doing okay, Erin! Keep us posted.

And I hope you can get some rest! My mother-in-law wasn’t feeling so well and skipped her Thanksgiving plans – sometimes rest is more necessary!

Yeah, I agree but it’s hard when you are in the military, because people know your husband is gone and they want to be supportive of the spouse. It’s usually how they want to be supportive and not how you need to be supported. BUT it’s a nice gesture.

Sick MIL is no bueno.

As for Elroy we just returned from the Vet, he’s making progress on the nose, so the vet and I are hoping/praying it’s not lupus. His nose is about 65% better with antibiotics so we’re extending the course another week.

This is a HUGE taking a chance kind of thing, but check Kohl’s in-store a couple months from now. I used to work there and after the holiday rush, people would return pretty expensive things and we would put them on clearance. A lot of the items were “web exclusive,” meaning online-only but can still be returned in-store.

Anyways, I found 2 sets of 1000-count king-size white bed sheets (fitted sheet, sheet, 4 pillow cases) for $43. And they’re always running 15-25% off sales and $10 off purchase.

Again, the chances of finding this might be slim in conjunction with sales, but good luck!!

What an awesome tip! I’ll have to check it out. Normally I buy from Overstock. The sheets are always great but they are still $200 or so.

I got Fieldcrest 1000 threadcount at the last major sale at target for Labor Day and they are ok, it was about $120. SO I’m trying the 700 count from the same line for half the price.

Compared to other high thread count sheets I’ve had they are not as heavy or as “canvas like”, they also seem to pill. I think it’s the weave and the length of the fiber.

With my dog, Elroy, in and out of the vet this year, I don’t have money to replace the sheets with the best possible quality, lol. So pilled sheets and a healthy dog are just fine by me!

Unfortunately my last set of sheets gave up the ghost from a small hole that the dog got his foot stuck in and then RIPPPPP, he ran and hid of course, not his fault! They were 10 years old!

Haul:

Got the GHD Copper Luxe V and Air set + diffuser for the dryer at 25% off the advertised price. I have been meaning to replace my old hair tools for a bit now and the perfect opportunity just presented itself. It was also IMATS last week so this has ended up being a much larger tahn usual haul week. I got:
– LA Splash Dia De Los Muertos Lip Couture Waterproof Liquid Lipstick in Frida and Los Novios. I have been drooling over the package art for a while but the lipsticks themselves aren’t half bad.
– LA Splash Till Midnight Elix’r only because the person who was taking my order had copious amounts of glitter packed on with not even a hint of fallout
– Viseart 04 Dark Mattes and 07 Cool Mattes
– Makeup Forever Metal Palette XL
– Hakuhodo J122, B163, B5507 and G5515
– Sugarpill Foiled Pressed Eyeshadow in Money Maker
– MAC 6 Editorial Reds Lipstick Palette
– Prackt Palmat, another makeup brush cleaning mat, cleaning spray and a metal mixing palette

Weekend Plans:

Sleep! Have had a very busy week and barely managed to drag myself to the weekend. I just want a few days of doing nothing but I know that’s wishful thinking so I’ll just settle with a few hours of extra sleep.

Non Beauty Black Friday / Cyber Monday item:

It’s the husband’s birthday in about three weeks and he has been talking about getting a coffee machine for a while. Might pick up something if the price is right.

After much debate we settled on a DeLonghi Dedica. It is an entry level espresso machine and also accepts DeLonghi’s own coffee pods if need be and has a very compact footprint. The hilarious bit is He has started to look at air fryers Everytime we go to a home store. Man wants all the chips without the oil. I am torn haha.

Haul:
Last Saturday I did the pre-sale with Melt Cosmetics for 50% some of their lipsticks.
Dark Room, Sext, Catsuit, 6six6, Lewd, & DOGAF (it’s a joke on their old DGAF lipstick but the #DOG AF is going around with the snap chat dog filter)

DollsKill order:
30% off Lime Crime Velvetine and Metallic Velvetine Liquid Lipsticks:
Salem, Jinx, Limited Edition Velvetines Trio Set in BUFFY/PEACOCK/BEET IT, Happi, Vibe, & Posh.
Sugarpill was 20% their new lipsticks : Cubby, & U4EA Pretty Poison Lipsticks

I was tempted to order the mini sets from Lime Crime but not all the shades would have worked for me.

Weekend plans: More resume submitting. Christmas shopping with my Mom for my Grandma and Dad.

Any non-beauty Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale you’re hoping to take advantage of?:
Arda Wigs! I didn’t get everything I wanted but enough wig supplies for a start for next years cosplays and a full sheet of Thibra (thermal plastic).
I also wanted to place a shoe order with DollsKill but they take down all Demonia brand shoes during sales… 🙁

Did you have trouble getting your Dolls Kill order to go through? Please touch back on the Lime Crime if you would, I went for the Blue Mini set this morning since they did free ship. I’m not a huge matte fan but I wanted to try some out. I agree the minis were hard to pick from as the shades were so diverse in each set that there seemed to always be 1 shade that wouldn’t be as great as the other 2. Why would they do that?!

I didn’t thankfully. Although I never got a shipping notice but I think that because there was soo many orders going through, they didn’t have time for that. I just got mine in the mail today it arrived yesterday through FedEx to Canada. 🙂

The thing about the lime Crime minis there were A LOT of new metallic mini shades that caught my eye. I have all 7 current ones because I love their formula but hey are dustier shades in general. So the shades Jingle, Pink Champagne, and Taffeta are their brighter counterparts caught my eye but to many nudes that might look strange on me.

I got my first DK order and there was a $20 gift card enclosed (too bad it wasn’t one of the $1000 ones!) I used to it place another order while they were still doing the 30% off plus a mystery gift card.

I’m not great in nudes either. I’ll have to check out some of your picks!

Haul: Nothing this week. Hoping to get a couple things this weekend, but I’m holding out to see if Cyber Monday will offer better deals!

Weekend plans: Congratulations! I knew you’d be great! Thanks snow much for the Trader Joe’s cranberry sauce recommendation. It was fantastic! They should put a Temptalia Recommends sticker on them 😉

Any non-beauty Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale you’re hoping to take advantage of? I’ve been wanting a Kindle Fire HD 8 for a while and it’s on sale now. Still don’t know if I’ll actually get it, ha.

Haha! Happy to hear you enjoyed the Trader Joe’s cranberry sauce! I was surprised at how good it was when I first tried it a few years ago.

Hope you feel better, Mellan! Knee pain is no fun. Your Boston friend Cali has a hitch in her step and a bit of limp. We’re watching it and hopefully some rest and doggie aspirin will do the trick.

Haul:
I just could not stay up last night to order ABH shadows — so pooped. Basically, all sold out this morning, which I fully expected. Not meant to be.

WG Brushes — #19, #14 (thanks, Julia!), and #11. Love all of them.

Clean Apothecary Brush Shampoo, Grapefruit (Never have used this.)

Brush Guard Variety Pack White (Think this will help some of my brushes keep their shape better after washing.)

Benjabelle Daisy Brush Tree — I’ve tried several different trees for drying brushes. Haven’t like any of them. We’ll see how this one works. Haven’t even unpacked it yet.

Weekend plans:

Recover! I feel bad for my husband who was at the airport at 5 am headed back to Aruba on business. Sounds glamorous (weather is nice at least), but he gets in the water once in a week if he’s lucky. My four sons and various SOs are here for the weekend, coming and going. That’s really nice for me. My boys are very close to each other, and having them around is a joy.

Any non-beauty Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale you’re hoping to take advantage of?:

Nothing on the radar.

So glad you have a lot of family around at the moment, Linda, while your husband is away! I can imagine it sounds awesome but is 99% working!

Hope the pain meds help Cali!

I have a Benjabelle Brush Tree. I do like it but find that some of the “slots” tend to expand. I end up having to put more than 1 brush in each one to prevent them from sliding out. I also use Brush Guard. I have so many brushes I ended up buying 3 sets and it’s still not enough! They do a great job of keeping my brushes shaped properly. I hope you like them.

Thanks, Michele. I’ve get to unwrap it. 🙂 Those guards are something I should have been using moons ago, mostly for the cheaper brushes I wash more often than the nice Japanese ones I have.

Haul: My Makeup Monsters Cornucopia liquid lipstick should be arriving next week! I also picked up OCC Lydia and Limecrime Pumpkin from Beautybay’s BF sale which had pretty good savings on those brands.

Weekend plans: Copenhagen this weekend! I’m very excited, it’s always been a dream of mine to see a true Scandi country. Their design is immaculate.

Any non-beauty Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale you’re hoping to take advantage of?: I might pick up more colour-ways of my favourite shift dress from Zara’s 20% off sale.

Congratulations on your cooking success, Christine! You definitely deserve a long cuddle with Mellan today 🙂

Haul: I am really liking the Marc Jacobs fineliner pencils for tightlining (which I do instead of eyeliner, daily), so I picked up two more colors, the brown and the sparkly bright green.

Weekend plans: we had Thanksgiving at home yesterday, but the big bash with our friends is tomorrow, so later today I’ll be making cranberry sauce and apple pie with pecan crumb topping to take with us (my son will make the vegetable lasagna we’re taking tomorrow morning). Sunday we’ll relax at home, maybe play Super Scrabble while watching old movies and playing with the guinea pigs and tiny hamsters 🙂

Non-beauty sales: I checked my Nordstrom wish list to see if anything had gone on sale, and found a couple of cool jackets and some yummy cashmere sweaters and scarves at great prices. Also ordered the Amazon Fire TV Streaming bundle at $15 off — maybe we’ll be watching something new (or some great old episodes of Good Eats with Alton Brown) while we play Super Scrabble!

Haul: UD Full Spectrum palette and a Babyliss Pro hair straightener.

Weekend plans: With help, tear my bike apart and get two panels fixed that were damaged when someone ran into it while it was parked. Also, I need to change my headlamps. Might go to a movie on Saturday (my SO is watching a football game involving his alma mater, and depending on the team, it can get very loud and blue around here). Need to do all the laundry. Also, need to gut the spare room that I use as a studio and organize — a lot.

Any non-beauty Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale you’re hoping to take advantage of?: I honestly haven’t been thinking about shopping. Don’t feel like I need anything right now.

Haul:
MAC: Hot Chocolate lipstick on sale!
Melt Cosmetics: Stepford and Old Rose lipsticks

Weekend plans: taking my six-year old to see Moana on Sunday — it’ll be her first time in a movie theater!

Sales: I’ve bought some stuff for the kids and my husband (mostly clothes/shoes); if I get my act together I will start thinking about holiday gifts.

He is probably feeling better with those taken out, or at least I would think so. Mellan is such a sweetheart! ?

Haul: Nothing but my less than impressive Ipsy bag. Although I do like the deluxe sample of TF Better Than Sex Mascara, especially for giving my bottom lashes great separation and definition.

Weekend plans: Per my usual; hair, possibly nails, meeting on Sunday. Very blah and boring!

Any non-beauty Black Friday/ Cyber Monday sale you’re hoping to take advantage of: Nope! I spent too much earlier this month, so no can do.

It makes logical sense that whether minor or major, it should be more comfortable without them (they were right at the surface–you could feel them; the incisions are super tiny). And if they aren’t really helping and could 1) be irritating/painful and 2) increase risk of infection, let’s get them out.

How long have you been getting Ipsy?

Right at the surface even sounds more painful, because of sticking into his skin underneath! But also far easier to get them out of him, too.

I began getting Ipsy in either March or April, I think? They’re alright. But I have received things I’ll never wear, though. Other items have become HG level! And some truly lovely, soft, synthetic brushes that I adore.

Haul: Not very much this week. I have pretty much been done with holiday shopping for awhile but did pick up Thymes Goldleaf candles x 3, room spray, drawer liners and body lotion. I purchased a couple of lip composites from Who is She cosmetics. I saw them used on YT and they seemed really innovative so thought I would give a couple of colors a go. They have some unusual colors but I stuck to the more traditional colors. They are suppose to be a lipstick, lip gloss and lip stain rolled into one product. I also purchased a couple of lipsticks from Feral cosmetics in Envy, Rapture and Fetish. I also picked up a couple more Wayne Goss Airbrushes and the #3 brush. I purchased two Artis Oval brushes in size 8. Both my daughter and I have relatively small faces so decided to compromise on the size 8 but I am wishing that I had ordered the size 7. I will see when they come.
Weekend Plans: We are nearing the final stretch of my garage conversion into a craft room/guest bedroom and this is the fun part for me. Now I get to furnish and decorate!
Non-beauty sales: I purchased a gold and silver 4 foot tall Christmas tree with gold lights to put in the entry way. I don’t have a lot of space there but still wanted to decorate there so this little tree which is very slender will work perfectly.
Oh, Mellan I hope you are feeling better. It is such a stress when our babies are not feeling well and we feel helpless.

Haul: Anastasia eyeshadow singles from the 60% off sale!
Weekend plans: Today I am just chilling post-Thanksgiving and plan to eat delicious leftovers!
Any non-beauty Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale you’re hoping to take advantage of?: Nope! Nothing I can justify! My brother checks out the technology sales for all of us since it’s more tech savvy haha.

Haul: nothing this week! I’m not planning to do any Black Friday shopping today either.
Weekend plans: spend time with family and friends while we’re here in the Bay Area.
Other sales: we might drop by the North Face outlet that’s close to my in-laws, they always have extra discounts for Black Friday weekend.

Aw, Mellan looks so adorable and like he was such a trooper at the vet.

Haul: Still waiting for last week’s Ulta order to arrive, but in the meantime I caved and got MAC Nutcracker Sweet Peach cheek compact and took advantage of Becca’s Blushed with Light Palette being half off at Sephora. Blushes are my weakness!

Weekend plans: Today is a recovery day (and an attempt to avoid any more shopping!). Tomorrow I’m going into the city to see my boyfriend’s cousin open at a concert, and Sunday I’m traveling to my hometown to set up my grandpa’s Christmas tree with some of my cousins. Lots of driving!

Non-beauty Black Friday sales: I need a new phone because my current iPhone doesn’t hold a battery charge for more than a couple hours, so I might try to find something today.

Aww, Mellan, feel better! Mama misses you!
*Haul – my 20% off Ulta order came – Foreo Luna Mini (thanks to discount, cash back, and Ulta Reward dollars, got this almost free!), UD Vintage Lipstick in Roach (pretty with my brown eyes), Tarte Metallic shadow in Scarlet (backup) and Hussy ( backup, will use one as shadow and one as face highlighter), NYX Control Free Eyebrow Gel (based on readers’ recs), Shea Moisture Coconut & Hisbiscus Curl & Style (my 4th bottle, for my dry ends)
*Black Friday deals (ordered but not received yet) – ordered my Simple Human Sensor Mirror Pro in silver from Neiman Marcus! I desperately need a lighted makeup mirror for dark mornings. Between 25% off, cash back, and reward dollars, I saved almost $100 (woohooo!). Anastasia 60% off single shadows –I tried to get Macaroon and Truffle Glitter but they were OOS, so I got Buon Fresco, Chocolate Crumble, Plum Smoke, Aubergine, Not Today, with free 4 pan case.
*Weekend – recover and clean up from hosting Thanksgiving dinner for 16, attend another family dinner, catch up on work, paperwork, check out Black Friday deals
*Non-Beauty Black Friday/Cyber Monday – most of my discretionary spending is on beauty items, but if something catches my eye, will consider

Oh me bad. Just found another deal –Saks -got almost 40% off (14% cash back + free $25 gift card with $100 beauty purchase) ordered Tom Ford Lips and Boys in Snowdon, Liam, and Drake (can’t believe it came back!)

Haul: Was able to get my hands on a 8-pan palette from ABH. Thankfully I’m a night owl and I stay up late to do homework anyway. Not planning on getting anything else as I made a couple purchases due to election stress last week. (Journalism major here)

Weekend plans: Find a ride back to school and re-pack my bags. And do my homework for next week, whoops.

Other sales?: Went to Michaels to pick up some things that I’m making for my best friends for our friendsmas. Nothing was on sale, but had a coupon.

Haul
Mac Mariah Carey collection came out in Germany yesterday !!!! I was lucky to get nearly all things I wanted: 4 of the lip glosses, all lipsticks but one, both eyeshadow quads, the nude/peach lip liner,
the skin finish and all online exclusive things were already sold out
BLACK Friday sale has arrived in Germany, too. 20% in a lot of Shops.
Already got some things but have to do some onlineshopping this weekend.
Today I bought: mac lipstick saucy little darling, one of the new skinfinishes, two of the nutcracker sweet eyeshadows and the biotulin Serum and a glitter powder to put on any lipstick from Artdeco.

What an amazing doggie – it’s terrible when you think they are in pain.
Haul: My Lorac Rose Gold palette has arrived and it is delish, some Smith and Co hand creams (beautiful) and I re-ordered some more Milani Statement lipsticks in my favourite shades Cinnamon Spice and Candied Toffee. Looked at some Clarins foundations, but the MUA was honest enough to tell me that they really didn’t make any in my shade and thought that Shiseido was better. I was impressed.
Weekend plans: My daughter in law and grand daughter are bridesmaid and flower girl at a wedding tonight, so we are going to look after the children when they are tired in the motel room. It should be interesting. Tomorrow we will be resting!
Non Beauty sale purchases: a new phone. We are just getting into the Black Friday, Cyber Monday kind of sales here – which is great to stock up before Christmas.

Haul: Some ColourPop liquid lipsticks from their sale: the Hello Kitty “Surprise” one, the black Friday “Friday” ultra matte black one, and three of the fall sets- Out and About, Can You Knot, and Up and Away. I got the Laura Mercier Layer Up Caviar Stick Eye Colour Collection, as I have yet to get any of her shadow sticks so those were good basics ones. I also got the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Mini Lipstick Trio. And last but not least, I finally got the Jo Malone Cologne Intense Collection, which I had been planning on buying since last Christmas season. So yeah, a lot…

Weekend plans: not much, probably watching the new Gilmore Girls Netflix season

Any non-beauty Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale you’re hoping to take advantage of?: I’m not sure. I’m looking around for some stuff for my sister, but she’s tough to shop for so we’ll see.

I’ve been wearing it quite a bit to get into the festive mood and quite like it! I’ve never had any sort of metallic lip product before either so the novelty of it hasn’t worn off yet XD

I somehow managed great restraint with SpaceNK last night only picking up ReVive Moisturizing Renewal Cream and Rodial X-treme Acid Rush Peel. I planned ahead and was ready with my ABH order and picked up 20 new shadows and got my first glow kit in Sun Dipped. I also picked up two Sisley Phyto Lip Twists in Balm and Matte Kiss along with their skincare gift. I also did a quick shop Nordstrom for a LauraMercier lip parfait in Iced Pomegranate, Nars velvet lip glide in Bound, and GlamGlow poutmud lip balm tint in Love Scene.

We’re doing our thanksgiving dinner tomorrow; we waited on my BIL’s parents to get back. Yesterday’s feast was Korean food and I’m really not mad about it! Then it’s more visiting before driving back to D.C. on Sunday.

Haven’t focused on any non-beauty related deals to be honest.

I think my level of restraint is subjective, lol! I ended up adding in a Neiman’s order for the new La Mer powder, Tata Harper Honey Blossom mask and a few restock items from Tatcha. I’ve used some sample pieces of Sisley’s skincare and I’m interested in exploring it more, but I wanted to test out the fragrance level in some of their products. I love the Eye Contour mask, comfort extreme lip balm and the phyto lip twists. The cleansing milk scent is a little stronger than I’d like and I’d like a little more density to it; it’s not great with my Clarisonic. I really want to try the Black Rose oil and mask, but I really want to test run it before buying at that price. I’m considering signing up for their beauty box to give everything a decent go. I’m all for high-end/luxury beauty boxes. I’ve gotten burned out on the other boxes for sure.

Haul: It was honestly my biggest haul in recent memory, probably the biggest since like 10 years ago when I was in highschool and asked my parents for all MAC makeup for Christmas. Melt: Space Cake, Stepford, and DoGAF lipsticks, Gunmetal Stack, Fixated E/s; Phlur: Hepcat and Siano trial size perfumes; Zoya: Logan (shimmery green), Purity (white), Sooki (bright primary red), Blair (metallic blackened red), and Lillian (Tiffany’s blue) nail polishes; Pat McGrath: Silver kit

Plans: Work, see friends, try to finish HunterxHunter, the anime I’ve been watching
.
Non-makeup haul: I picked up two work shirts, a pair of jeans, and a halter top bodysuit from Express.

The green nail polish and DoGAF lipstick. I already know Zoya will knock it out of the park, I really love their shimmers. The Melt stuff I’m more nervous about due to textural issues I’ve heard about their products in general, but I’ve been wanting to try them forever and it’s nice to support a brand still starting out.

Weekend plans: Driving back home early Saturday morning after spending Thanksgiving with family. We have a new book-on-tape picked out so looking forward to the 3.5 hour ride home.
Any non-beauty Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale you’re hoping to take advantage of?: Can’t think of anything at the moment . . .maybe some clothes, maybe some towels/sheets.

I like RBR’s shadows but this will be a first for the cream shadows, blush, eyeliners and lipstick. They had a 40 – 60% off sale and couldn’t resist -fingers crossed!

The book is Staked by Kevin Hearne – we’ve read/ listened to all of the Iron Druid Chronicles thus far and are fans ?

I hope Mellan is feeling well.

Haul, nothing, I am waiting for an order from Illamasqua, though.

Weekend, my son is home over the weekend so we’ll just hang out, watch Gilmore Girls, play WoW and eat.

I’m not planning on buying anything non beauty (or beauty) as I have been to look at a kid brother for my dog, I have a black Standard Schnauzer, and looked a a miniature Black and Silver Schnauzer. I will probably pick him up this week, and pay quite a lot for him.

I wish a good recovery to your cuttie!

Haul:
-set of burt’s bees lipbalms, with all the good reviews I have been reading about them I really hope it will replace my loved but sadly discontinued La Roche-Posay one!
– by Terry summer face palette for light skin tones. Thankfully the air brush and suqqu cheeks have the right size to pick up product! Still have to figure how to use the shimmery bronzer though.
– evolve’s skincare : hyaluronic serum, moisturising cream, lip balm, shampoo
– biotyfull box subriscription. It’s French, 5 full size products which are organic and made in France. I wanted to take the Christmas box… And took the subscription by accident… Oops ?. I just hope that I will go back to France often enough to get my monthly packages lol.

Weekend plans:
Groceries… With the cold and the hunt for Christmas gifts I didn’t feel like taking care of it… At least that makes you become inventive once you have to cook! Lol
Sushi! Last time was already over a year ago. It will also be our first night out with our daughter. Fingers crossed that she will be the easiest baby on earth for those 2 hours!

Any non-beauty Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale you’re hoping to take advantage of?: I definitely shop what I can for Christmas! Allows me to make even more awesome gifts to my loved ones! ?

Haul: Still waiting on my colourpop order to come in!!

Weekend plans: Trigger warning for brief medical talk!!

I am going in for surgery on Monday Morning. I saw my surgeon yesterday, and he’s going to put me under on monday and take out some of the tumor and send it off for a biopsy. He says that removing some of it will remove some of the pressure and pain in my jaw!! And then I’m having the remainder of the tumor removed January 13th!! We FINALLY got the official date of the surgery!! So I’m a happy camper!!

So my weekend plans include eating all of my favourite foods before I’m on a pudding/liquid diet for the next two weeks. And cleaning up the house so I just have to worry about recovering!!!

Am I going to do any non beauty black friday shopping: Nope!! Black friday isn’t as big as in the states as it is here. Here in Canada our biggest sale shopping date is December 26th (Boxing day! 😀 )

Plus I have a large medical bill coming up, so i’m saving every penny right now!!

Haul: Nothing, I’m flat broke! My mini ColourPop haul is currently languishing in the Royal Mail depot until I can afford to pay the customs charge on it ?.

Plans for weekend: Moving into the new rented flat tomorrow (Sun). It’s stressful, we have a lot of stuff to leave behind and we’ve decided that me and my fiance will sleep in the small bedroom (the double bed leaves only just room to walk around one side, with the bed against the wall!) and our 2 year old in the master bedroom because there are mirrored doors on the wardrobe in the small bedroom and no wardrobe in the master bedroom. And we aren’t allowed to take the doors off the wardrobe ?. So it’s not ideal but we had to find somewhere to live before Jan and other than that the flat is perfect.

Am I taking advantage of the Black Fri/Cyber Mon deals? I wish I could but I am literally in the red with my overdraft so any money I get goes on food and bills and that is it. My fiancé doesn’t have a very well paying job so all his money will have to go on rent and bills. Very tight at the moment but hopefully once we get housing benefit things will be a bit easier. At least we have a nice place to live in!

Haul: Bobbi Brown Art Stick in Dusty Pink and free shimmering lipgloss in gold. Saks Canada (spend $150, get $75 GC): TF – Nude Dip, Aperture lip foil, L&B Drake, Shimmer Shot (Pink) and Chanel: 2 waterproof eyeliners.

Weekend Plans: Relax, watch Game of Thrones, enjoy delicious turkey dinner leftovers, do some light cleaning up.

Non-beauty buys: Bought 3 items at Talbot’s, including a gorgeous sweater coat with a red and white braided design (all 30-40% off). Also bought gift cards to local restaurants with a bonus gift card basedbon expenditure.
