Tarina Tarantino Neopolitan Lane Dollskin Cheek Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Tarina Tarantino Neopolitan Lane Dollskin Cheek Blush
Tarina Tarantino Neopolitan Lane Dollskin Cheek Blush ($25.00 for 0.20 oz.) is described as a “muted pink beige.” It’s a medium-dark fleshy beige; it’s very skin-like in its color, and it has a nearly matte finish. There is only a hint of rosiness; if you have pinker undertones, this might be more apparent on your skin than against my yellower undertones. It has more beige in it compared to MAC Brit Wit, which looks pinker compared to this. MAC Darkly My Dear is a few shades darker and browner. It is extremely similar to Tarte Exposed, though slightly less pink. Korres Natural is browner.
The powder is very finely-milled and soft to the touch. It applies smoothly and blends out effortlessly, and because of the naturalness of the color, it’s impossible to overdo. I love blushes in this color family, because they act as a my-cheeks-but-better kind of color. They merely accentuate and emphasize the natural tones of the skin. This lightness of this color means it works best on fair to medium skin tones, while medium-dark to dark may find it to disappear against their skin tone (blushes in this tone but several shades darker would work for the darker end of the spectrum). I was really pleased with the wear of this shade; eight hours without fading.

How does this compare to mac pressed amber?
Much, much lighter!
How does this compare to Mac’s blushbaby?
Less pink
Looks gorgeous. Dang, now I want this blush.
Reminds me of a lighter version of MAC’s Prism.
If you could only get either this blush or blush horizon de chanel. Which would you recommend I’m nc35. Ty!
I’d probably go for Chanel, just because this might not show up – though Chanel will also be light on you.
I’m curious what lip product you’re using here! It’s lovely.
Very nice daytime blush!
MAC Narcissus!
“My cheeks but better” is right! This looks lovely on you, Christine 🙂 I’m always worried about natural-toned blushers going orange on me, but it looks like this one has *just* enough pink.
Hey Christine. Do you have the Tarina Tarantino blush palette that consists of 4 blushes? Are you going to review it?
No, I don’t have it, sorry!
No, problem, thanks for response 🙂 This blush looks pretty though.
What a shame I cant buy Tarina Tarantino products here in Germany =(
You look lovely, what are You wearing on Your lips?
It’s MAC Narcissus!
Have you heard of the new ‘Napolean’ line? I saw them at Ulta.
They look really pretty, but I’m worried they may not be as pigmented as they look.
I haven’t – I’ve never been to ULTA!
how does this compare to nars douceur and tarte exposed? is it worth it to get this when i have the other two already?
Douceur is redder and I compared it to Tarte Exposed in the post!
I’ve been loving the lips/cheeks swatches you’ve been doing lately! What foundation have you been wearing?
I can’t remember what foundation I used here, sorry!
Ahhh one of those “my cheeks but better” shades! I’m really craving for Tarina Tarantino products now!
One of these blushes is going to be my next blush purchase! My poor wallet haha.
I love your reviews and cheek swatches by the way, you have the best ones out there 🙂
Hahaha to be honest, I’m kinda disappointed in this! Don’t get me wrong, it looks really pretty, but with a name like “Neopolitan,” I expected something like a highlight, blush, and contour trio (you know, something that looks like the ice cream! Vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate!).
Haha! I love it… Good point:)
I was just coming to post something like this! Also, without being given the type of product, I’d assume something named Neopolitan was more likely to be an eyeshadow trio.
Wow! This looks like a great, everyday blush that goes with everything!
That looks beautiful! Do you have a recommendation for a blush in this same color family, but more suited for medium-dark skin? (I missed Darkly My Dear, unfortunately.) I’m NC42 or a bit darker, for reference.
Thanks so much!!!
Christine, could you please tell us what’s on your lips in this shot? The color is gorgeous, and I can’t help but be distracted from the blush! 🙂 Thanks in advance.
MAC Narcissus!
beautiful color! i like it on ur cheeks. =)
Oooh, very pretty! I love these sorts of more natural looking blushes.
Incidentally, the “Dollskin” name of this line seems pretty accurate to me, for this color at least. When I paint dolls the color I mix up for the cheek blushing is usually very similar to this!
saw this on the sephora website and i wondered how it would look, so glad you swatched it! i love natural looking blushes.
What are you wearing on your lips? It’s a beautiful color!
MAC Narcissus
That looks GREAT on you!
The metallic packaging reminds me of my beloved R&R blushes! This shade looks so pretty! 🙂
Will your recommend this over Tarte Exposed?
It wears longer on me, so yes 🙂
Hi, the blush is lovely but I can’t help but notice the lipcolor you wearing is very lovely too! What is the lipstick/gloss you are wearing? I would love to get that! I have a soft spot for lippies! 🙂
Will you be reviewing Carved Rose and Charm as well? Thanks!
I don’t think I have those, sorry!
How would you compare it with Korres natural?
I compared this in the post!
OMG i read the dupe part twice yet i couldnt see:D So kind of you. Thanks.
Purchased this when my Sephora was sold out of Tarte Amazonian Clay in exposed, and I am very happy with it! It is now my go-to blush for both day and night because it complements every look so perfectly 🙂
