How do you deal with a makeup look that just won't come together?

How do you deal with a makeup look that just won't come together?

For eyeshadow, I might try to keep adding products or else slap glitter all over the lid (distraction!!), and if it doesn’t seem like I can salvage, I just remove and start over. For blush/bronzer, I’ll use loose powder or whatever’s left on my foundation brush to tamp down excess shimmer or...

What question would you like to see asked?

I’m taking suggestions! 🙂 Questions for “Temptalia Asks You” should be open-ended questions that typically require more than simple “yes/no” responses.

Are there any types of beauty products you refuse to skimp on?

Are there any types of beauty products you refuse to skimp on?

Hmm, good skincare is worth splurging on, but there are effective products at lower price points, too – but if what worked for my skin was $100, I wouldn’t compromise on it just to save money (I’d cut back elsewhere) unless I absolutely could not afford it, of course. I like natural hair...

Are there any types of beauty products you refuse to spend a lot on?

Are there any types of beauty products you refuse to spend a lot on?

There’s probably nothing I’d NEVER spend a good chunk of change on, but I certainly would hesitate to spend $100+ on any particular item in just about every category short of mega sets and the like.

How do you decide if an eyeshadow palette is worth it?

I prefer palettes with a few different color combinations that jump out at me, or else it has to have one REALLY good, go-to combo (like a quad or trio). I prefer more shimmery shades so only a few mattes for me, and I don’t need a brow bone highlighter shade. It doesn’t matter to me if there...

Do you like having your makeup done by someone else?

If they’re good at applying to makeup to others, I enjoy it. I like seeing what someone else would do with my features. I’d condition it to not having to go to a big event afterward, too 😉

What are your pain points in beauty?

What are your pain points in beauty?

False eyelashes: no matter what tip or trick I’ve attempted to try, it’s very, very hard for me to get them on… let alone on both eyes, LOL. Skincare: it can be hard to gauge results and whether they’re “worth it.”
