When is longevity important to you?

When is longevity important to you?

It’s important in products that are harder to re-do on the fly, like re-applying a gloss is pretty easy, but having to reapply blush or eyeshadow? No way! I want my eyeshadow/mascara/brow products and base/complexion/face products to last well for eight to nine hours and fade “nicely” from...

What are some of your favorite collections from the past?

What are some of your favorite collections from the past?

Pat McGrath’s MTHRSHP Palettes — super smart and still great quality. ColourPop’s This is Not a Dream (holiday ’18) collection was lovely; really fun, less traditionally holiday (but sparkly and duochromatic), and had some of my favorite products of the year in it. I have always enjoyed...

What products are you least critical of? Why?

What products are you least critical of? Why?

Just to reiterate, since I spend most of my time using products I’m testing, I think I’m critical most of the time (as I am looking for pros/cons!)… but not all “flaws” are ones I care about (personally!). I think I have a lower bar for what I want in a gloss – like it can’t be drying...

What was the last launch that caught your eye?

What was the last launch that caught your eye?

Natasha Denona’s Sunrise palette (I’m writing this on May 29th, so I haven’t tried it yet but likely will have tried it by this date…) — I find I go back to ND’s formula quite a bit, and I really enjoyed the Sunset palette previously so I’m super curious about its companion.

Do you enjoy your going through your skincare routine?

Do you enjoy your going through your skincare routine?

I love exfoliating (so soft afterward!) and moisturizing (my last step usually), but the whole routine, sometimes I enjoy it but most of the time it is just part of the “this needs to be done” family.
