What was the last launch that caught your eye?

Natasha Denona’s Sunrise palette (I’m writing this on May 29th, so I haven’t tried it yet but likely will have tried it by this date…) — I find I go back to ND’s formula quite a bit, and I really enjoyed the Sunset palette previously so I’m super curious about its companion.

Colourpop Blush Stix. Normally, I don’t go for any kind of cream blush, but after watching a “Makeup Just for Fun” YT video review, I became very interested and placed an order. I love almost every Colourpop product I’ve ever bought, and because of their prices, I feel pretty free to experiment and try new products without feeling like I lost a lot of money if I don’t like what I bought, which rarely happens, but it does once in a awhile (Cheetah lipstick, I’m talking to you!).

Milk glow oil lip & cheek sticks! I really want at least one to try out the formula. They look so fresh & summery. Impatiently waiting for their arrival at Sephora to save on shipping.

Dior Face Glow Palette 002 and Natasha Denona’s Sunrise palette are the two recent items that have caught my attention (already purchased, both shipped today). Before it was Viseart’s Coy and Petit Pro Palette in Soleil.

I have liked a lot of the recent releases and have and do intend to purchase some but I have to be honest and say that I haven’t been really excited about any release in recent memory. I wasn’t even excited about the Coy palette release until just recently so I feel like I am still lost somewhere between being over the whole makeup thing or at least being a lot more judicious about it. Feels weird!

I’m rarely really interested in new releases, especially considering my buying purchases (sometimes I’m more excited to the visual of campaigns). But the lipsticks in the MAC Aladdin collection caught my eyes when I saw the first swatches; then I saw them on Christine and I was like `meah`; then I saw them in stores and gave them a swatch on me and I was excited again.
I have enough lipsticks for now, but if in 2-3 months they end up in `MAC goodbyes` sale, I might be tempted.

Natasha Denona has been on a roll this year: Tan & Glow and the Bloom cheek/face palettes, Mini Nude e/s palette, and Sunrise Palette. All 4 of these are currently sitting on my WL, with one or two about to come home with me!
The other one that received my attention is MAC x Aladdin, and also their spanking new summer collection, Electric Wonder. I did order the one lipstick Life In Sepia after trying it on yesterday, plus the darker marbled highlighter, too.

I guess it would have been the UD Game of Thrones launch just because – well, it’s Game of Thrones AND it had that stunning Lannister Gold eyeliner. I’m a bit interested in the new Chanel stuff for summer, especially the eyeshadow quads, but what I’ve seen so far doesn’t have me chomping at the bit to purchase…

ABh x Alyssa Edwards palette! I like how the bright colours are sunset/rainbow themed and there are still two really neutral transition colours

The UD/GoT release is the first time in a while I actually stalked a website and set up in-stock alerts. I was tempted to get the whole thing, but I toned it down in the end to the items I must have (the two eyeshadow brushes because swords, the teal and the gold eyeliner, and the Danaerys lipstick). I had to come to terms that I really wasn’t going to get a lot of play out of the highlighters (I have so many) or the eyeshadow combos because even though there were a few nice colors, it seemed really inconsistent in quality.

The other is the ND Sunrise palette that came out today. It’s been while since I’ve been this excited about a palette. I prefer singles because there’s always a few colors I won’t use or the balance between mattes and shimmers is way off. But there is something about the look of those mattes along with the entire color scheme that I’m finding irresistible so I ordered it last night (probably within about 10 minutes of it going live – I just happened to be online and thought I would check, I was otherwise just going to check this morning and get it).

The only thing that really interested me was the UD/GOT eyeliners and I did manage to get them and they are beautiful. Otherwise the new releases look beautiful, but I just don’t buy. It’s good for my low/no-buy but it’s really weird for me.

I haven’t been overly excited about any recent launches because too many of them were not suitable for me, plus it’s hard to get hold of the actual products in store here to swatch and see for myself.
Probably the most interested I have been is for the Sydney Grace singles that came out earlier on this year, as it has made me rethink my attitude about singles.

Marc Jacobs Steel-etto collection.
I have come to the conclusion that cool tones look much better on my eyes than warm. I have always liked the MJ formula and packaging and am so pleased I own it. If Natasha Denona ever came out with a true cool toned palette I would probably talk myself into it.
I regret the amount of money that I have spent on warm or even neutral/warm palettes. Don’t get me wrong, the colors and shades are beautiful. However, I should have learned long ago that just because an eyeshadow is enticing doesn’t mean it will flatter me.
