What was the last hyped-up product you were impressed with?

I feel like there’s usually a fair amount of buzz over a new Natasha Denona palette, so I’d say the Sunrise palette! Loved the smaller size, and the performance/color scheme were nice.

What makes an eyeshadow palette good for traveling?

What makes an eyeshadow palette good for traveling?

A good mix of shimmers, mattes, depth, and that they can be worn cohesively. If I pick a palette to travel, I’m okay with adding in my favorite brow bone highlighter or maybe a few neutral matte shades, but the palette should contain most of what I need. I tend to prefer quads (and then I’ll...

What keeps you excited about brand’s products?

What keeps you excited about brand’s products?

I like to see variety between launches, and I like to see some surprises – like a summer collection with a pop of pastel or a spring collection with some smokiness. A good example of this would be some of the recent Nordstrom beauty exclusives; they weren’t necessarily bad, but they were so...

What was the last makeup look you wore and loved?

I enjoyed how the ColourPop Uh-Huh Honey look came out; I didn’t know where it was going to go, and though it doesn’t have the contrast I normally opt for, it had a seamless quality to it that I really loved.

How do you figure out what makeup you're going to wear?

How do you figure out what makeup you're going to wear?

For me, it’s usually dictated by what I need/want to test (I mean, it’s all “need” right? but if there are three products at equal priority, whichever I’m most excited to try might go first!). I’m rarely doing cohesive looks–most of the time I have different products on each eye and...

How do you organize your eye products?

I organize most of my makeup by brand, and for most palettes, they’re also organized by brand. For smaller palettes, like duos and quads, they’re with the rest of the brand’s products and then usually alphabetized. For larger palettes, I keep them in my closet (instead of drawers, as they...

How do you organize your lip products?

How do you organize your lip products?

I have them separated by brand, and then usually by formula, which is usually wear it stops. For MAC products, like their lipsticks and Lipglasses, I have then organized alphabetically (just by As, Bs, etc. but not alphabetical within each letter).

What are your tips for making your eyeshadow last longer?

What are your tips for making your eyeshadow last longer?

If I’ve only just applied moisturizer, then I’ll make sure to gently dab at my bare eyes to ensure there’s not too much product around/on my eyes. I’ll lay down a thin layer of eyeshadow primer from my lash line to brow bone, but I also like to put some underneath my eye (lower lash line...

What are your tips for making your lip color last longer?

What are your tips for making your lip color last longer?

I exfoliate my lips first, add lip balm, let the balm sink in for 20-30 minutes, and then I start applying the actual color products. I start with lip liner and fill in all over my lips, and then I use a lip brush to apply and press in the lip color. For longer-lasting color, matter color tends to...
