I can’t recall anything specifically, so probably nothing lately. I do tend to stay away from committing to reviews for 30++ eyeshadow palettes, so that might fall in this zone? Super over-sized eyeshadow palettes because they take a lot of time to review but only count as one review!
Presuming I wasn’t intending to be in the water, I might, but I’m more likely going to apply sunscreen and call it a day. If we were on vacation and just popping by the beach for an hour two and then going to dinner, then I might have a full face of makeup!
I know I’ve purchased Nivea’s cream, which is often listed as a dupe for La Mer, for my mom (she doesn’t agree but says Nivea’s–German version–is a distant cousin and one of the better moisturizers she’s tried).
I definitely tried with my younger sister, though she just never got into makeup much. She does really love nail polish!

It’s very rare! I think the only time it has happened is with a fragrance.
I don’t normally, but if I wanted to, then I would bring a pressed, translucent powder for blotting down shine and the lipstick/gloss combo I was wearing to reapply after a meal!
For a lot of color cosmetics, definitely, assuming they were the same quality as the full-sized. I’d rather pay less and get less than pay more and never use something up! For skincare, I think they are good for someone who can be more reactive to new products, so being able to try 1-2 weeks’...
