I’m kind of digging like a garden at midnight–so a lot of the bright, vivid hues of various flowers and blooms but at night, so darker but still full of depth and richness and grounded by lots of earth tones. Pat McGrath, Natasha Denona, or Sydney Grace.

Do you apply makeup to your body?

If I’m being thorough and/or the match is more off, I’ll bring foundation down my neck and to my chest (whatever is exposed by the cut of the neckline I have on!), but otherwise, it’s super rare.

What could brands do to make shopping online easier for you?

What could brands do to make shopping online easier for you?

1.) Clear information; this means price, quantity, availability (limited edition, permanent, etc.), ingredient list, what it’s supposed to do (is it sheer? is it luminous? is it hydrating?). 2.) Decent photos–I get it, brands and retailers will always do themselves a favor and make products look...

What brand or retailer has the worst online shopping experience?

What brand or retailer has the worst online shopping experience?

MAC has one of the worst websites; it’s clunky, loads slow, and is ornery (the process of removing things from your cart is so painful if you have more than a few items to remove). Ulta’s website is functional but it doesn’t always feel as streamlined or as user-friendly as it could be....

What brand or retailer has the best online shopping experience?

What lipstick finish do you wish brands would explore more?

I love a lightly glossy, subtly pearly finish as it is comfortable to wear, more forgiving (softens lip lines/plumps lips up).

I love a satin/luminous blush; something that’s glowing and has a bit of sheen but not larger shimmer,s o it doesn’t read frosted or metallic.

SATIN. PEARL. Basically, something with a slight to moderate sheen that’s very smooth rather than intensely metallic or brightening.

What do you look for in a neutral eyeshadow palette?

What do you look for in a neutral eyeshadow palette?

I like a good range of depth and finish, though I don’t mind omission of very light mattes personally (even if they may work for my skin tone, I think they’re too limiting for a palette marketed for everyone). I want to be able to create a softer look as well as something more intense with...

What brand do you feel has gotten worse over time?

What brand do you feel has gotten worse over time?

There are so many! The ones that stick out to me are ColourPop and Urban Decay right now. ColourPop felt like it took MAC’s spot when it came to fast and furious releases, but they did it with a fairly high-level of quality and consistency (even more so for the price!). However, I feel like they...
