Sydney Grace x Temptalia Quintessence Eyeshadow Palette ($40.00 for 0.76 oz.) is available in a Light version and a Deep version. The difference is in two shades, so one doesn’t get both versions, but selects the one that makes the most sense for their preference, skin tone, and weighed against the rest of what one already has.

Each palette is designed to work in the following combinations:

  • Sextets (half) (Primary)
  • Quads (Secondary)
  • Rows (Secondary)
  • Duos (Tertiary function)

Below, you’ll find nine color combinations using shades that exist in both palettes, and then there are seven additional color combinations using the Light and Deep versions.

About This Series

Each look idea is centered around a “quad” of four shades with the expectation that one might bring in the appropriate brow bone or additional transitional shade based on skin tone. Consider these ideas a jumping off point with four “core” colors that can inspire your next look. For reference, based on how I usually apply makeup, I would consider applying the shades in this order: inner lid, middle of lid, outer lid/crease, and crease/above crease or lid.

I’m SO excited for these! The jewel toned palette always reminds of Jealousy Wakes (I still have an unused one that I have kept all these years just to own it).

The idea with this one of having two versions of a palette for different skin tones is one that I wish you could copywrite because it’s so ingenious and one of those, “Why didn’t we think of that before?” ideas. I’m certain this will be something more and more companies will start doing – probably about a year after consumers give up on them for not doing it sooner LOL

Oh, these combinations look great! I would pick up the light palette, even though I’m a medium complexion. I wear a lot of colorful clothes here in Florida. I can see some of the bright shimmers as accent colors. Lovely, and different color story.

please, i am struggling in deep vs light choice. would you please be willing to do swatches where half the swatch is blended out? especially with mattes, i very rarely use them as ‘full swatch power’ but rather blended out. this would give us a better idea of what they actually will look like. i’m fine with this only being on the light and deep versions! i know its more work <3

I’ve been saving to buy a house so I’ve been on no buy since the beginning of 2020 but I’ve been following you for years and I love the purples and mattes in this so I think this will be the one makeup product I buy between this year and last. Thanks for giving us some true cooler toned shades! Beautiful.

Eyeshadow heaven. I’m planning on getting the deep version of this one, but I love all of these combos. I could probably get close enough to the light-exclusive shades with shadows already in my stash.

I wish SG could make their dark- and light- exclusive palette shades also available as singles, but I can see where that would be a PITA.

I hope these next days go by quickly! Most excellent work Christine and Heather (and Laura too!) Can’t wait to place my order, and it’s great to know there’s plenty to go around! I just can’t stand rushes for limited quantities, then boom, an internet glitch robs your cart and you miss out! These are GLORIOUS!!
