Abi

Sydney Grace Abi Lip Cream ($10.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a muted, medium brown with subtle, warm undertones and a cream finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage in a single layer, which applied without streaking but was prone to settling into my lip lines. There was also faint “bubbling” that was apparent in the close-up but not in person.

The gloss had a smooth, light-medium thickness, and was very comfortable to apply and to wear as it was almost cushiony. The formula was also quite hydrating over the four hours it lasted for.

Formula Overview

$10.00/0.15 oz. - $66.67 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to be a "cross between a lipgloss and a lipstick" that is "moisturizing." The brand recommends using a lip liner with darker colors. It had the coverage of a lipstick with more of the feel and application of a lipgloss in my experience.

The majority of the shades have good opacity and are near-to or full coverage, which go on with minimal to no streaking but a few shades settled into my deeper lip lines more noticeably. The texture was more light-medium in thickness with moderate tackiness, and while not heavy, it was a heavier gloss than most on the market currently. It has a very smooth feel as it goes on, and it was comfortable to wear, hydration, and lasted longer than the average gloss--five to six hours.

Cassie

Sydney Grace Cassie Lip Cream ($10.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a medium, rosy beige with subtle, warm undertones and a cream finish. For this type of shade, it applied better than average, but there was visible streaking and product more prone to getting into my lip lines, which worsened over time.

The texture was smooth, lightweight, and light-medium in thickness with more of a gel-cream feel as it was comfortable to wear, not too tacky, and didn’t slide around too readily. It stayed on well for four hours and was very moisturizing while worn.

Liz

Sydney Grace Liz Lip Cream ($10.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a medium pink with muted, warm undertones and a milky consistency. It was more semi-opaque compared to most shades in the range, so it had more of a milky or jelly-like quality to it.

The texture was plush, smooth, and lightly creamy with good spreadability, but it was prone to getting into my lip lines (but you’ll see that the color itself wasn’t streaky). It wore well for four hours and was very hydrating over time.

I quite like these shades – reminds me of Maybelline’s Mauve for Me kind of colour. I would have thought these were more of an autumnal tone than for your spring/summer. They look quite comfortable on the lips and the ratings were mostly very good.

Oh weird! I didn’t notice the bubbling in Abi initially, but after a second look sure enough they’re there. Weird. Anyway, Abi is a great color and I’ll throw it in my cart next time I make a purchase. I’m all about that gloss life at home.
