Surratt Beauty Ponceau Artistique Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Surratt Beauty Ponceau Artistique Blush
Surratt Beauty Ponceau Artistique Blush ($32.00 for 0.20 oz.) is described as a “poppy.” It’s a brightened, medium-dark pink-coral with warm undertones and a satiny sheen. IT Cosmetics Pretty in Peony (P, $24.00) is brighter, more shimmery. NARS Laos (P, $39.00) is less shimmery, darker, cream. Tarte True Love (P, $26.00) is lighter. Chanel Intonation (69) (LE, $38.00) is warmer, cream. theBalm Toile (P, $22.00) is brighter. MAC Simmer (LE, $27.00) is more shimmery. NYX Pinched (P, $5.00) is slightly warmer. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
The incredibly silky, smooth consistency of Surratt’s blushes never ceases to amaze me, because despite all that softness, they’re never powdery. I’d love to see the brand add a few more unique shades to the line-up, though the core selection has some nice offerings, they’re just easily found elsewhere (or you already have them in your stash). Ponceau has that same, impressive texture along with good color coverage that can be built up or easily sheered out if you find you’ve applied too much. The finish is lightly luminous without being shimmery or shiny, and it doesn’t emphasize pores. It wears just over eight hours on me before fading softly.

Another great surratt blush. I have one and want a couple more. Have you tried the eyeshadows yet, Christine. I’d love to hear your opinion
I have! Not yet ready to review, though.
Hi Christine: Surratt blushes are not coming up in the swatch gallery. Are they going to be added soon? When I look at comparison swatches in the link above in the review, there is no Surratt swatch for comparative purposes either.
p.s. This one is pretty! no surprise..it’s a coral 😉 I love NARS laos wouldn’t mind a powder version…
Okay, not sure if you’re having one problem or two, so I checked and all the blushes do show up by brand in the Swatch Gallery (generally): http://www.temptalia.com/swatch-gallery?brand=Surratt%20Beauty I checked in different browsers, so let me know if you see nothing there…
Second problem – looks like the links in the actual posts were missing Ponceau’s ID, so those two links are fixed (the ones in the Glossover were correct).
Hi Christine: The link you provided works for the Surratt blush swatches, but I am still running into problems when I try the side-by-side swatch comparison. I start typing Surratt and nothing comes up. The brand isn’t showing up at all. I wanted to see how this compares to TF Flush. They are both bright corals, but I’m thinking this one is pinker. Thanks for your help!
Hey Wendy,
We have a bunch of brand exceptions, but the way we have it working presently (and it’s on the list to refine/modify further) is it’s not going to show anything until you actually type in “Surratt Beauty” plus the start of a shade so if I type in “Surratt Beauty P” then I get Parfait and Ponceau. I’ll have the boys make it so if you put in just surratt P you’ll get results.
Thank you!
And your SBS to save you some time: http://www.temptalia.com/submit-dupe?sbs=1&pid=171398&dupe=116687
Oooh thankey, you guys rock! Holy crap..these are far more similar than I initially thought.. C’est domage.. I was hoping I found a Surratt blush to go on my buy list.
No problem! Thank you for letting me know!
Ooh la la, very pretty, this is definitely my kind of color!
Yay!
sooo pretty! but they’re really expensive 🙁
They are, unfortunately!
I just woke up and somehow read “Ponceau” as “Pikachu” and was about to drop some cash on some Pokemon related makeup. In all seriousness though, that is a pretty colour!
LOL!
These blushes are beautiful! This one looks very pretty on you
Thank you, Fancie!
I love how this looks on you! I am drawn to shades like this. I have a warm skin tone, and they just go so well.
Aw, thank you so much, Leticia! xo
I LOVE THIS! Surratt seems to be eclipsing NARS as the blush master!
The texture is phenomenal!
I *love* the glowing ‘fire’ this one has to it! 🙂 You know me and bright blushes… *grabby hands* I totally wish I’d gotten Intonation!
Hopefully Chanel will repromote!
You’re killing me with these Surratt reviews, Christine! Ri & I regularly sit in the kitchen and talk about how sad we are that we can’t get this line, now. 😛
I know he expanded (a little) into UK, so hopefully Canada is next!
Aren’t they just the most amazing texture?! Have you tried the eyeshadows? I swear, they are my favorite formula ever. So buttery soft and buildable.
Shani x
I have! Still testing, though!
