Surratt Lip Lustres
Surratt Au Naturelle Lip Lustre ($32.00 for 0.20 fl. oz.) is described as a “universal neutral with a kiss of gold.” It’s a peachy-orange brown with faint gold shimmer over a mostly creamy finish. It had semi-opaque coverage (not quite the sheer as described), but the milky quality of the gloss really came through with noticeable settling into lip lines. The texture is thick and tacky, and the cream finish gives it a slightly goopier feel and look. It wore well for four and a half hours on me and was lightly hydrating. Urban Decay Kinky (P, $22.00) is darker. Maybelline Citrus Evolution (115) (LE, $8.99) is warmer. Chanel Sensuel (11) (P, $34.00) is similar. MAC Grand Pumpkin (LE, $15.00) is darker, warmer. NYX Cherry Cheesecake (P, $5.00) is darker, brighter. MAC Live It Up (LE, $15.00) is brighter. Maybelline Charming Cocoa (125) (LE) is pinker. MAC Overspiced (LE, $15.00) is lighter. Maybelline Nude Illusion (060) (P, $8.99) is similar. MAC Fashion Punch (LE, $15.00) is slightly darker. Chanel Genie (P, $32.00) is lighter. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.
Surratt Ensoleille Lip Lustre ($32.00 for 0.20 fl. oz.) is described as a “reflective rose bronze.” It’s a muted, medium-dark orange-brown with pink and gold shimmer and sparkle. It had semi-sheer color payoff that covered evenly and looked smooth and glossy on the lips. It wore well for five hours and was hydrating. Revlon HD Amber (555) (P, $8.99) is more shimmery. MAC Ray of Sunshine (P, $22.00) is less shimmery. Maybelline Glistening Amber (055) (P, $8.99) is similar. MAC Imperial Light (P, $20.00) is less shimmery, redder. Burberry Cameo (P, $29.00) is slightly more muted. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.
Surratt Flamant Lip Lustre ($32.00 for 0.20 fl. oz.) is described as a “flamingo coral.” It’s a brightened, medium coral-orange with warm undertones and a cream finish. There is the barest hint of pink shimmer in it, but you can hardly see it applied. The gloss was semi-opaque when applied, but it went on smoothly and evenly. The thicker consistency seemed to help it fill lip lines and give lips a plumper look. It wore well for five hours on me and was hydrating over time. Urban Decay Punch Drunk (P, $22.00) is darker. MAC Barbecue (LE, $15.00) is darker. Gucci Beauty Crushed Coral (P, $32.00) is darker, more muted. Hourglass Muse (P, $28.00) is brighter, pinker. NYX Cherry Cheesecake (P, $5.00) is lighter. NARS Wonder (P, $26.00) is brighter, more orange. MAC Teen Dream (LE, $20.00) is similar. MAC Cheerful (P, $22.00) is more muted. Milani Coral Crush (10) (P, $5.49) is lighter. MAC Ablaze (LE, $15.00) is darker. Burberry Brick Red (P, $29.00) is darker. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.

I love the look and the texture of Flamant!
Thank you, Erin!
Ugh.. So pretty! That last one on you looks amazing!
You’re very kind, Lotus! Thank you!
Aww.. I’m just blatantly honest. I don’t believe in being anything else! But you are always welcome! 🙂
Anyone know if this brand is CF? Flamant looks pretty!
No idea 🙁 I know his brushes are made out of animal hair, but that’s all I know about that.
Ensoleille is pretty. The other two are just “meh” for me.
The shimmer is nice in that one!
Ensoleille is GORGEOUS! The packaging is pretty modern chic, too! 🙂
The shimmer in Ensoleille is so pretty!
Ensoleille is up my alley for sure! I love the multi-dimemsional shimmer, plus it just looks plush. Also loving Flamant, but already stocked up on similar (but not dupes) type of shades with MAC’s Laundry List and a few others….I guess I’m into orange tones lately? LoL! Those two look wonderful on you!
Same! I love the more shimmery shades.
Oh wow! I am falling in love with these I am afraid. I don’t have any yet. Soigne and Amethyste still remain on my wish list from your previous reviews. for some reason, I thought they were priced too high. I am starting to feel like I may have to bite the bullet. Now, I have 4 to chose from! Ugh. They are all gorgeous. Christine, do you think you will be reviewing more in the near future? If so, I may hold my horses. I have picked up a ton of glosses recently. With this price tag, I don’t see me getting the all of them. At least not right away. 🙂
No plans on getting additional shades for now! 🙂
Okay, thank you. Less to chose from..for now then:)
Flamant is lovely. Ensoleille isn’t my kind of colour but it looks great on you. Good “bronzed beach babe” gloss.
Thank you, El! 🙂
I just love the color of Au Naturelle but I had a feeling it would look milky on the lips. It’s like all the pretty nude glosses come out that way. Sigh.
Right? Sad times!
Flamant looks nice. I like the finish much better than that of the other two.
Flamant applied really well!
The 1st one settles into a thousand lip lines, but the other 2 are very pretty, especially Ensoleille with the shimmer
Au Naturelle was a definite disappointment!
Ensoleille remaided me a bit of an old, old favourite MAC lipgloss, Nice Mix Up. As MAC had two dupes, I guess a stop at a MAC counter is in my near future.
Hopefully you’ll find a good replacement for it!
