It is one of five new, permanent blushes from SUQQU that features a powder formula that is supposed to combine a “subtle glow” and “pop of color.” It had medium, buildable coverage when swirled together, with the darker shade being more pigmented and the lighter (pinker) shade being a bit sheerer (which is as described). The texture was fairly soft and smooth, with just a touch of dryness, that blended easily on the skin but did not look dry or powdery. It seemed to “melt” a bit after five to ten minutes of wear. The finish was glowing and luminous without being overtly shimmery or metallic on the skin, though I wouldn’t describe it as subtle either. It wore well for eight hours on me before fading noticeably.
I bought mine from Selfridges, but the SUQQU blushes have been going in and out of stock, even though they are permanent (shipping is a flat $30 to the U.S., so obviously, it makes sense to wait until you have a larger order).

Really trying my hardest to avoid SUQQU and you aren’t making it easy!!!!
It’s pretty! Would be great for a soft natural look. Selfridges has some hard-to-find brands, but shipping costs can be ouchie. Does anyone know if Selfridge’s ever offers free shipping to USA?
Yes the offer free shipping during Christmas. Just keep an eye on this promotion. And be sure not to place an order over $800, otherwise you will be charged for duties.
That’s lovely! I was afraid to look at the price, but it is very much in line with mid range…which surprises me. I was recently looking at some of their foundations and swear I suffered heart palpitations.. knowing my track record with near misses, I decided to pass at that jarring price point. Get it.. jar… frame fix.. boo hiss..
Christine, is this the only shade you picked up?
Sorry, it was the only one I was able to purchase. Again, super sorry!
No worries! I picked up EX01 and 04 and have really enjoyed them so I was debating others.
Was debating between ordering this one and 03 with the holiday quads from Suqqu. Hopefully there will be more swatches online by then 😀
Thank you for the review of this one, it’s much appreciated!!
I keep checking Selfridges, but they don’t stay in stock at all! It’s $30 shipping, so I want to wait until they have them all in stock again 🙁
Christine, if you don’t mind me asking, do Selfridges take VAT off when they ship to you outside the UK, or do you pay the full price including local UK tax?
Thanks very much!
Yenners
They take VAT out. Basically, just go to their site and make sure you’re browsing in U.S. and you just pay that. If you spend over $800, I believe that’s where you’d have to worry about customs.
Thank you Christine! Good to know for future purchases! 🙂
Hmm, Idk. It looks like a nice highlighting blush, but on me I believe it would function more as just a soft glow highlight. Which now makes me wish that when I placed my MAC order early this morning, I would’ve gotten BOTH Taraji cheek products and skipped the lipstick. Or gotten all 3, but skipped the Blue Peep Fluidline? ?
Awww! I’m sure you will be good with the one you got 😉
Yep, I know I will love Taraji Glow for a perfect bronzey-blush shade! Still kinda wish I had nabbed Highlight The Truth, too. Who knows? It may just hang around long enough to get it later!?
I cut it down to just the darker MSF and forewent the l/s. It’s not online only, right? Somehow, was not as drawn to it onsite, as when Christine wore it. This product is totally gorg, but would be hell to score.
I just called the MAC Store up the street, the SA told me that since their had not received anything from the collection, she believes that it’s online only. Pretty weird, really. Ad for the lipstick, I thought the same thing, but knew that many times their pics can be quite off, I just went for it. On Christine, it was how I had hoped Whirl would look on me, but didn’t.
It’s quite pretty, like the half brother of byTerry’s Platonic Blonde, less pink, and a much better price point. I like it, and I will definitely try it.
Hi Christine, So happy to see you reviewing Japanese cosmetic brands.
It does look lovely!
I love it! Suqqu is not a brand I instantly think of when I want a new beauty product but this just might convince me!
I bought ex01 and 4. Really enjoy these blushes.
The texture is so fine and beautiful!
Lucky that we have Suqqu here in Taiwan, but it’s so much cheaper in UK, even cheaper than in Japan.
I like the overall effect.
