We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! It’s interesting seeing how different the Rare Beauty palette is compared to the releases from Holiday. Based off the swatches, it seems like the quality of the eyeshadows is also quite different. I wonder what compelled them to put such a large pan of pressed glitter into this palette.

The layout of the Rare Beauty one is pretty. When you look at the two eye palettes side-by-side, these Rare Beauty shadows looks like they may have drier texture than the previous releases (especially next to the NARS palette).

The ONLY thing here that I’m liking is the Tom Ford e/s duo! But at $65, I’m just not 100% sure about that. Besides, how often would I even be using it, something else for me to consider!

I must admit that I am liking the Nars Summer Solstice palette – although it does remind me of Smashbox’s Petal Metal palette of a couple of years ago. The swatches look great and I love the soft shimmers and the rosy gold themed shades.
The gold Tom Ford shade looks lovely too – but not the black cream shade.
The Raw beauty palette is not really that impressive to me.

The Tom Ford duo is nice, but not $80 CAD nice. The summer Dior quints are more appealing.
Granted, I need a new duvet cover, so that’s probably one of the reasons too.
