Black Sand (Cream) is a medium-dark black with a warmer, almost olive-toned base and flecks of dirty gold micro-sparkle throughout. It had a more matte base, so it had a mere hint of sparkle, which was often gobbled up by the black hue when worn at higher opacity. I've found that more emollient, deeper hues, like this one, often do not sheer out evenly and tend to look patchier the sheerer and more blended the edge gets. It worked better as an all-over color, eyeliner, or as a base with the complementing powder eyeshadow. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that dried down in about 15 to 20 seconds and stayed on for nine hours before creasing.
