Ready for a first? I love that ABH mega monstrosity palette! Yeah, I’m pretty blown away by that one. If the quality is up to snuff, this may just become my very first mega palette.
As for the two Nars palettes, I do like them. Particularly the quad, just for the fact that it has gorgeous lid shades. But, I’m guessing that the dupe list will reveal hidden dupes for them within my stash, so I’ll sit on that one for now.
The Norvina palette is nicer than I thought it would be, although the three hot pink shades all look really similar. I was hoping the yellow would be a really bright, neon shade, which would have been a stunning accent with the brighter pinks. At least the softer yellow doesn’t look patchy or anything. I don’t mind pressed glitters, but the two in this palette aren’t wowing me. If reviews are good, I’d consider getting this one.
The Orgasm palettes aren’t anything I need, but both are quite pretty and the swatches look good.
I’ve read that the hot pinks have different textures, idk. This palette is fairly polarizing in consumer reviews. Lots c/o chaotic organization or dupes w/in the palette, or that the Norvina formula is not the ABH formula (wtf?) The ones who love it, REALLY love it. By the comments, the pros seemed to be exactly that, pros. I think I see rows and columns as looks, and like this the best of the N megas.
That would make a lot more sense if they are different textures. It seems like with all the Norvina palettes, some people love them, and everyone else hates them. I have heard the shadow formula is different than the other ABH palettes.
I picked up the Norvina 4 palette, and it’s so much prettier than I expected!
The NARS palettes are both nice, but not anything special… If I ever get to go into a store again (I’m in LA County, and Garcetti keeps moving the goalposts…), I may change my mind after swatching it myself…
All I can see is a sea of reds and pinks…..A lot of these eyeshadows are starting to look very much the same to me. However I do think that both the Orgasm palettes are really pretty for a soft summery look.
If I were to get any of the Norvina palettes (I never will because they’re ridiculously large and spotty quality) this would be the one I would get. I love this color scheme, yes, even with the weird minty-lime green thrown in there.
This is easily my favourite of the mega palettes and I also like the NARS palette, especially the larger one, but I feel in my conglomerate of palettes, I can dupe out a large portion of the shades. C4 lavender shade is the one I’m staring at the most.
I really hate the color stories of the Norvina palettes, even if the formula was better than it is, and it’s an easy pass. In these times of financial woes that’s a relief.
