Sol Body Star Light Shimmering Body Powder Review & Swatches
Star Light
Sol Body Star Light Shimmering Body Powder ($12.00 for 0.18 oz.) is a light gold with moderate, warm peach undertones and a sparkling, lightly metallic finish. It had semi-sheer, buildable pigmentation–depending on how one applied it, as fingertips were the recommended method and grabbed the most pigment from the get-go–that applied evenly to bare skin or over foundation.
There were small-particle sparkles throughout, but they caught the light well and didn’t emphasize my skin’s natural texture. The consistency was denser, almost like a cream-powder (but more powder than cream), but remained blendable on my skin. It lasted well for eight hours before fading visibly.

Really pretty. If I could buy these locally/in store, I would probably have bought all 3 of the ones you’ve shown.
I did want to ask – as these are all classified as “body powders”, did you have any concerns using them on your face and would you continue to use them as face highlighters/blushes or not?
They actually call it out as a face & body highlighter in the copy, though the printed name on the compacts just says body powder!
Good to know because the packaging only seems to make reference to body use so I wondered if maybe they weren’t recommending it for facial use, so thanks for this information. They should change their instructions somewhat!!!
This is such a nice, softer looking highlighter. Perfect for this time of year, which we know won’t be around for much longer, unfortunately. Therefore, I’ll be sticking with Bronze Hour, because that one is great for April thru October.
