Sneak Peek: Too Faced Love Palette Photos, Swatches
Too Faced Love Palette
Too Faced Love Palette ($49.00 for 0.50 oz.) is a new palette for fall (though it still uses very summery colors to me) that features fifteen eyeshadows and a full-sized black eyeliner. The eyeshadows are divided into three sections and use a new eyeshadow formula (supposedly silkier and uses the slurry technology, which is what is often found in Japanese eyeshadows). Here’s a sneak peek of the palette — still testing on my end 🙂

Wow, seriously let down by the pigmentation of this palette. I can’t pretend to be surprised though. This palette looks so cheap, like something I’d buy my 11 y.o. sister for her birthday. Who are they kidding with this $50 price tag?
I am not a big fan of the heart shapes! The colors look pretty but the packaging isn’t very sophisticated! 🙁
I initially wasn’t excited about this palette, but these swatches are gorgeous!
Nope, not for me. Too many shimmers, not enough mattes, and the colors are so… meh, dupable.
The packaging is very pretty and original, kudos to Too Faced for that. The swatches look much better than I expected. Unfortunately, I have dupes for all of the shades except for 3 of 15, will be eagerly awaiting your dupe list for Passion, Darling, and Everlasting.
I’m super impressed!! I wasn’t too interested in this palette but now I need it! That eyeliner is amazing too…..
I get that Too Faced is trying to stick with their cutesy branding, but this palette doesn’t seem very practical – I would guess it would be hard to get brushes into the odd shaped pans. Christine, have you had any issues with brushes fitting into the pans?
The packaging looks cute but I think I can live without it. I do love that olive shadow though. It’s beautiful
I wish there was a variety of finishes to choose from. That said, most of the swatches do look pretty and it’s a lovely palette to look at.
Like clockwork, all the shades I’d look horrible in are the best performers.
I laughed out loud at your comment, but only because I can identify with you 100% and you put it into words so perfectly!
I like the color selection and the packaging. Waiting for a review before I commit, though.
I’ve got to say that the swatches look pretty good, there doesn’t seem to be a dud in there! It’s very shimmery though, I wish a few more mattes or satins would have been thrown in the mix.
Eh – I could take it or leave it.
Definitely seems like a shout out to Japanese and other Asian brands. It’s cute but not my style. Maybe it’s just cultural conditioning but it just screams cheap at me, sorry!
I just do not get excited about these cutesy little makeup palettes now that I am no longer in my teens or twenties.
That passion color is amazing but I dont think I care enough about the rest of the palette to make it worth it.
A really pretty palette ~ passion looks like a unique shade 🙂
Although I don’t think I’d buy this .. it’s a little youthful looking for me.

This reminded me of TF’s Return of Sexy palette as soon as I saw it and I hated that palette. I normally love TF but the glittery, messy, fall out of this particular formulation is not for me.
And I really do hate the little girl vibe of the packaging; TF did this during the holidays also with the carousel-thingy. To whom are they trying to appeal? I don’t know a lot of tweens or teens who can afford a $50 palette. Maybe mother’s buying for their daughters? I wasn’t even allowed to wear makeup at that age!
I like this palette but really not feeling Too Faced as a brand as of late. I just don’t feel good about buying from brands that exclude WOC in their lines.
Interested in a review of this. But, I think it’s a little tacky. Its ironic that I like the single heart shape of the blush packaging. But, find this kind of silly. I wonder if it’s relating to my recent bad experiences with TF shadow.
I really like the Passion shade, which looks unique! Can’t wait to see your dupes for it.
Totally not impressed with this Love Palette, most of the eyeshadows look too frosted, shimmery and muted tones.
After the stunning Visart palette swatches, I just don’t know about this particular palette? So even though some of these shades *appear* beautiful, I will just wait to hear your thoughts on it’s actual performance, Christine!
BORINGGGGGGGGG
I was just going to say it is such a snoozefest
Brush would have been better than another black eyeliner, but eh. So many brands do that, and they’re all useless to me!
Passion looks like an unusual colour. I seem to be in the minority by thinking, Hallelujah it isn’t all mattes! 😉
I think it’s adorable, but I’ve seen live swatches and they were not great.
Well… that’s disappointing. Especially since I know they are quite capable of creating a very workable palette (A Few of My Favorite Things). On the bright side, I won’t be spending money on another palette (yet).
I want this palette!! AND I neeeeeeed that eyeliner!
Oh dear – there is only one colour I like – the Darling green.
“slurry technology?”
It’s a little cutesy for my tastes, but if more of the shadows appealed to me I’d be willing to ignore that. But only a couple do and I suspect they’re dupable. And, oh look, another black eyeliner.
I really like some of the shadows like Passion, Everlasting and Darling, but somehow the layout of the shadows deters me from wanting it. I just like my boring ol’ rectangle and circular pans I guess.
Drat! Looks too sparkly for me.
And I don’t understand everyone saying that it looks cheap. Cheap to me is plain squares of shadow in a cardboard box, a la IT, Anastasia, some UD or Tarte, It looks expensive and complicated to me. They obviously paid a designer and put some money into embellishing this.
I like it!! I didnt think they would swatch this well! Gotta get it!
A few of the shades look VERY “wantable” but so many others look exactly like colours they’ve had in past (in their palettes) but with new names on them and that’s something I don’t like about TF – they seem to rename either LE or discontinued shades and sucker us into buying them when, in fact, we may already have them…
