Availability: Now at Sephora
Starry 🙂
I’d totally get this since I just have a sample sized Trooper – but it doesn’t seem available to Canadians?
On Sunday about a third of my Sephora ‘loves list’ was no longer available to ship to Canada. I ended up emailing Sephora and sending a direct message on Twitter, and Sephora responded right away. They said “now that Sephora is fulfilling orders in Canada, we must comply with Canada Law and there are some brands that will be discontinued for Canada due to regulatory issues such as not meeting Canada packaging requirements.” – heartbreak!
I’m sure it’s not something they want to do, because I’d say they’ll lose some money. The most disappointing part was that my holy grail Sunday Riley skincare line will no longer ship from Sephora – but I found it online available to Canadians here – http://www.eskincarestore.com/Sunday-Riley.
I have the same Problems with getting things to Germany (brands like urban decay, glam glow, louboutin…). Check myUS.com they generate a U.S. address for you and forward the parcel via FedEx (also taking care of customs) to you. It’s a bit pricey but sometimes worth it.
There are other ways I can get the brands online, it was just that Sephora was my one-stop beauty shop. It’s not as convenient, but I suppose I shouldn’t complain! Thanks foryour myUS.com suggestion! 🙂
That’s beyond annoying. If it’s an online it shouldn’t really matter!!!!! I can understand if it’s on a shelf, but really????!!!?!!?!?!
I want a list of brands now Sephora. >_<
I guess it's just this LE packaging for the trooper eyeliner but I would have bought it my next online purchase (I'm just waiting for something to become available).
I looked at my wishlist and literally half the products won’t be shipped to Canada. I’m talking about KOH GEN DO, LAURA MERCIER, YVES SAINT LAURENT, OCC, Bite, Tarte, Toofaced and Urban Decay products as well……
UD doesn’t ship to Canada and TooFaced shipping rates are really high….. WTF.
I’d rather they ship from the US instead if it’s this bad.
OCC is completely gone, but you can buy it in store up here….. Not happy as I only get occ through sephora.
She just recently posted on Instagram that Sephora in Canada will have this online and stocked on shelves.
Raise the price $5, and then only give $1 to charity? Lame.
I came to say the same thing. Doesn’t seem like charity to me.
The description is deceptive-
A bestselling eyeliner in a limited-edition design that benefits the California Wildlife Center—and for every sale, Kat Von D Beauty will donate $1 USD to the CWC, with a goal to raise $100,000.
Makes it seem like the sales go to CWC, and THEN KVD will donate $1.
Did anyone else read it this way?
Yeah the sentenct struture should be clarified to
and for every sale, Kat Von D Beauty will also donate $1 USD to the CWC, with a goal to raise $100,000.
As it is currently stated it sounds like it will only donate $1 to them per purchase. As it stand the percentage is only at 4.16..% of sales.
Well now I have NO idea what percentage of the price goes to the CWC, which also doesn’t sit well with new. I like to know stuff! Ha ha
It cost more also because the packaging is more expensive. The tube isn’t plastic as well. She could’ve just kept all of it and I’m sure people would’ve bought it anyway. $100,000 is still a good amount to donate considering she spend more to make this eyeliner.
Yes! I was hoping somebody else noticed that. And, I just looked online–the regular liner is .02 oz, and the LE one is .019 oz..
Either they should clarify that the extra $5 in the purchase price is going to the CWC, and that on top of that, KVD Beauty is donating $1 per eyeliner sold, or they should stop the charade.
The star design is cute, but it seems to me more than $1 could have gone to the charity.
My thoughts exactly.
The packaging is cute!
I don’t own a single Kat Von D products but there are some of them that appeal to me and make me want to eventually jump in and purchase. Overall, even when there are good reviews and an interesting product, there’s something about the packaging that is just not my style. I’m a huge fan of tattoos and tattoo art and I enjoyed her shows and find her SO talented as a tattoo artist. She’s also a great face for a makeup brand – she’s got “a look”.
I’m not sure where I’m going with this comment, but what is sticking out to me about this product is the 1$ donation to CWC per liner. The way it’s written could be interpretted as meaning that the liner sales will benefit CWC in a way not specified and on top of that 1$ donation will be made but I’m sure that they’d have made the importance of the donation clearer if they were really giving more than 1$. It’s really not impressive and it’s not all that generous. I would certainly not purchase the liner for the charity aspect.
