Tarte Bling It On Amazonian Clay Blush Palette ($44.00 for 0.75 oz.) includes five blushes, and all but one is warm-toned (Dollface is the cooler-toned one, and it is also part of the permanent range). The exterior is a glittery black, which feels rough to the touch and does shed glitter. Tarte’s full-sized, standalone blushes cost $28.00 and contain 0.20 oz. or $140.00/oz. This palette contains $105.00 worth of blush for those of you keeping track of value this year! Tarte’s blush palettes tend to be a better deal if you like the shades included. Full review to come!

I got a nice set of 4 mini compact ones last year (pink, plum, coral, nude). I love to pop one into my purse, have been using several times a week and still haven’t made a dent, so I’m set. The last 3 colors look kind of similar, wish they had substituted a brown/nude that can be used as bronzer/blush/contour.

I’m glad they didn’t include a bronzer. It means they’re listening to their customers. Their bronzer, Park Ave. Princess has been used to death in their palettes and people have kind of had enough.

I like last years packaging so much better. It’s bulkier but it wasn’t rubbing off on me.
I have black sequins all over my hands right now even on my face.
But the colors are very beautiful. Beaming was okay. And I’m glad they have the names printed on the packaging!

I bought a LORAC eyeshadow palette ages ago, but I never use it. It’s covered with huge shards of gold glitter, and I did get a piece in my eye… I keep meaning to depot it, but something else always seems to come up.

Yeowch!!! That hurts! Had a piece of glitter get in my eye as a toddler around Christmas-time, parents had bind my arms and race me to the Doc, he couldn’t get it out, but when my Mom took a tissue to it, she got it immediately! Btw, I don’t remember any if it, TG!

Oh Tarte – more of the same in a blush palette! I would love to see some more unique colors from their holiday collections, some purples, oranges, reds, etc… even a bronzer and highlight… This palette makes a beautiful gift but as a blush addict, I’m getting bored of these safe, usual colors!

That’s the whole idea behind the brand: “natural”, safe, wearable colors. To do anything different, would be going against what the brand stands for, which is a polished, natural beauty. That said, I do wish tarte would do a cool-toned & a warm-toned palette, and as someone mentioned above, add a contour & highlight shade.

Unfortunately, most people don’t wear those kinds of blush shades, so for gift sets like these, a brand is going to stick to what it’s known for.

That being said, I’d grab one like you describe in a heartbeat.

I really like that this is not as big & bulky as last years. The glitter that falls off is annoying. Just fyi if you bought the 4 mini individual set last holiday I believe it was called chic to cheek it contained prim. The color dollface can be bought individually. I like collecting the holiday stuff so I buy it regardless of color repeats.

Ok i compared those blushes to this palette and they are literally the same but different names expect prim. Smashing is identical to Classic. Fetching and Daydream are the same. I’m actually kind of mad.

I’m so excited for this blush palette! Prim is my absolute favorite blush ever so I’m so ecstatic that they’re including it in this set! Plus, I can’t wait to see your dupe suggestions Christine!

I would say anyone above fair could get away with it. I’m fair, and the actual color barely shows up when swatched on my hand. I’m going to try it on my cheeks, but it might even be a highlight for me.

I think it’s a nice one for someone who likes peachy and coral shades. I do so I might grab it! I don’t care much for Dollface though.

Hmmm, these look okay, I guess. But I am seriously NOT a fan of shedding packaging! And in particular, glittery shedding, because it would be getting all over me and my face: YUCK!

This seems like such a better deal than the full sized versions, but is the quality the same? I noticed the ingredients for dollface are different for the one in this palette. First ingredient is mica which my full size doesn’t even have and no talc like my full size…weird because all the other shades in the palette have talc I think so not like they were just trying to be talc free. Made me curious so I started looking around their website and made In China eyeshadow palettes have less and different ingredients then the made in usa ones. I had the sweet indulgences holiday set last year with two full size blushes and sent them back after I bought some from the permanent line. Those had different ingredients too and seemed to not last as long and weren’t as pigmented. I think I’m going to order this just because I’m so curious to compare to my full size dollface lol

I have this palette and full-sized Dollface. The one in the palette is definitely more cool-toned than the full size. I haven’t worn Dollface from the palette on my cheeks yet, so I can’t tell you how they compare in that aspect, but there is a noticeable difference in the swatch.

Thanks 🙂 think I’m going to pass then…Hard to not order it because the value seems so good but I like the permanent formula more. I think it’s so annoying how tarte puts out things with the same name but different colours or formulas…such a pain since then when you’re looking at reviews you have to make sure it’s actually the same product

These look lovely. I love warm, coral and peachy blushes, so this is right up my alley. I’ve been wanting Dollface. I hope this is still available in a couple weeks so I can get it. Shedding glitter isn’t my favorite packaging, but I can live with it. Half my clothes have glitter or studs or something on them to start with. 🙂

This is nice but…Every year I buy the Tarte holiday blush palette along with the set of mini blushes and these colors look very similar to last year’s shades and the year before. Also, Dollface was included in the blush palette from 2 years ago…Although Tarte blushes are some of my favorite and most used, some of the shades here are a bit repetitive. I wish Tarte would’ve gone for something a little different this year.

I’m excited for these, but I need a swatch on my tanned skin before I buy this. I only use Tarte blushes, because I find that the last long on my skin.

I’ve heard that generally in Tarte’s sets, their blush quality isn’t as nice as their singles, but as someone who has never tried a regular Tarte blush would it still be worth a buy even with the quality discrepancy?

The short answer (IMO) is: yes. I own almost every full-size permanent tarte blush, as well as this palette and the one from 2 years ago. I also own a lot of the mini ones from holiday sets. Personally, the mini’s are my favorite LE ones. They’re a bit softer and easier to blend. However, I’ve used this palette, and I think the quality is just fine, not a big difference at all. You might check out the set of 4 small ones at Ulta and Tarte’s website though! 🙂

i have two of the mini size clay blushes from a holiday set a couple years back (actually, the set includes 4 blushes, but i let go 2 as the colors do not show up on me), and a clay blush palette also from 3 years back, and 2 clay full size clay blushes. i do not see a difference in quality. the blush palette is a good value if you are ok with most of the colors.
