How stunning!!! I have 5 of the lipsticks already but still want this…. #loveatfirstsight
I find it hard to believe a single person would like all of these different colors. I think four or five would suit me. Maybe if you have a friend with different skin tone, you could split it up?
I would! Haha. I have pale cool-toned skin but a « lipstick face »: most colors look good or at least OK on me, and I think I could even look normal in black or blue lipsick. I have kind of a « porcelain doll » look, I can pile on lipstick of almost any color and/ or a lot of blush and still look like myself. (Contrastingly, very few types of eye makeup suit me, eyeshadow often makes me look weird and not like myself.)
So yeah this was just an example of who would wear all of these. But I am not buying this set because I am completely broke lol. I will splurge on it if it’s still around when I can afford it though!!
Stone and Please Me are already on my wishlist, and I was interested in 4 of the others too. I may have to splurge for this if it’s available in the UK.
Ah it seems to be £85 in the UK! I knew the pound wasn’t doing well, but I really can’t justify that for 12 minis, at least one of which I would never use.
So shocked this didn’t sell out fast! Lol this set is def one of my favorites of the season!
Can we take just a moment to admire the absolute CUTENESS of this set, though! ?
But, having 2 of these shades in full-size, with only Ruby Woo and Stone as 2 more I’d want, I’m probably not going to get it.
It is awfully cute, isn’t it? I’m glad I’m not tempted by it!!
I recently bought Ruby Woo in mini size and I have to say I don’t love it. I already own a full sized Russian Red, which is a much richer shade that’s more comfortable and easier to apply. I’m glad I only bought Ruby Woo in mini. As for Stone, even though I’ve tried it on twice and it doesn’t do much for my face, I still kind of want it, but thankfully, not enough to actually spend $17 .
I love the Flat Out Fabulous shade! Gonna have to get my hands on these when they come out!
I have all of these shades except 5 ….So I guess I should skip this one…lol. But this is a great set for someone who wants to experiment with different colors. MAC always has done lipsticks well….
Or, if you have a second home…lol and f’real.
So beautiful ?
I own over half of these, and in the past i was tired of reds as i wore the pin up look for years in my early 20s, but im starting to get back into them now. SO tempting. I have a obsession with mini things too.
A really good range of lipsticks, perfect to share with a friend of different lip preferences.
I always admire your attitude.
Thank you Kjh!
I see this as the perfect gift for someone who is just starting out with MAC Lipsticks.
Good set! Lots of cult colors for anyone out there who has yet to delve into MAC.
This is actually a really good deal. Mac should do more of these and fewer forgettable LE collections.
Has anyone in Canada ordered this set! It’s been saying coming soon since it launched and I’m wondering if the Canadian site sold out before it officially launched again like other collections? (It’s $83.50 CAN) I’m stupidly waiting to order for 5 days now. lol
Hi! i just bought it in store- they’re available in stores if you are looking for it, the guy who sold me mine said they got a LOT of them so it should last a bit. 🙂
I am so glad I already own all my favorite shades from this collection (Whirl, Rebel, Ruby Woo, Velvet Teddy). The packaging is very nice, but I am happy that it is not tempting me at all.
This is a great collection for someone who wants a nice sampling of MAC lipsticks. Or it would be a good one to divide up with friends.
I first had planned to buy it. But it sold out before it was available for simple customers at Mac website. BUT… I don’t know why they’ve changed the formula of the retro mattes. FOF and Ruby Woo are in my wishlist, but I want the original retro matte formula! I have seen there are minis for 10$. Ruby Woo is retro matte in the permanent mini size. FOF is not available as a mini. I will wait. I’m pretty sure they’ll introduce more shades in the mini size version and I will get the retro mattes (my favorite finish)
This is such a cute set but I have dupable products. I just feel like it’s a lot for a set, they should have broken it up into like 4 sets then it’ll be easier for ppl to choose.
I really appreciate that you’re reviewing the minis, even the same colors, because oftentimes companies are accused of making the formula lower quality in sets. I wonder if you can review a Colourpop mini set too, because all the reviews say the quality of the minis is horrible.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Is it just me or does Ruby Woo look a little glossy in the swatches? As far as i remember, it’s a Retro Matte formula. Has MAC changed the formula by any chance? If yes, then it would be a relief to my lips, since Ruby Woo such a beautiful colour but so drying!
Yeah, Ruby Woo and Flat Out Fabulous are retro mattes in the permanent line but labeled mattes here!
The 3 “new” shades strongly remind me of the two nicki minaj and the taraji shade. I don’t think they are dupes, but they are in the same ballpark. Would be interested in seeing comparisons when/(if) they are fully reviewed. Not sure if it is just co-incidence, or just jumping in on what is maybe considered on trend atm.
