Wasn’t sugared violets in the bon bon palette 2 years ago? This one reminds me of that palette….I’ll be curious to hear what you think, Christine. Not loving some of these…really patchy…and others seem like re-promotes or so close. I’d love for some of these sets to get bad reviews so I’m not as tempted!!!!

It probably was. I have all the last Christmas releases and in the past two years the palettes have been virtually identical. They changed the names of the shades, but they were the same. In fact they had almost identical layouts. 🙁

Pretty, except for Black Licorice, but way to close to the Chocolate Bar palette. I do really like Sugared Violet, though. I would totally buy that as a single.

Ooh I’m liking the color scheme of this palette, but the Clove shade (+ a few others) look disappointing.

The pink upper half of the palette looks too girly and young for my taste. I like the cute black and sparkling design of the bottom half though.

This looks like a mix of chocolate bar, naked 2, and naked 3…. which I have All of. So why do I want this soooo bad!!!! Ugh lol. I’ll be patient and see what Christine thinks.

Clove? Cloves? TF has a gorgeous shadow called Cloves in (I think) the Smokey Eye palette. It’s a beaut! It might have been smart to put that exact shade in THIS palette. A few of the colours look very desirable to me – Sugared Violet, Cinnamon Sugar, Champagne Truffle and Black Licorice (though this last one does look a bit patchy as a swatch). Might spring for this….or not – I’ve barely made a dent in my Chocolate Bar palette!

I actually really like it when the super dark colors aren’t super pigmented. Especially for black shadows, I find it much easier to mess up an eye look past the point of no return when they have so much pigment that they’re completely opaque even when you’re light handed. Not every black shadow has to be dark as ink! This one looks nice to layer over your eye look just to deepen and smoke out the outer V and lash lines.

I have quite a few Too Faced palettes that have similar colors, so I am going to pass on this. The palettes I already have are enough to make me pass on this one. The swatches look rather blotchy as well. I prefer colors that have enough pigment to really payoff, and these just don’t entice me.
