Chanel Collection Libre Synthetic de Chanel recently launched online, and I picked up four of the lip colors along with the eyeshadow palette. (I also planned to get the blush, but it wasn’t in stock yet when placed my order.)

The mattes are a bit weak, but it sure is nice to see a cooler palette. Shimmers look great. And if I had the dough to start lipstick over, Chanel has had some A ones recently.
The lip colors look a bit to sheer for my taste, but the eyeshadow palette seems promising. The second shade in particular looks a lot more dynamic swatched than it does in the pan.
Sleeping through this one
Not really anything amazing looking here. The 5 pan palette – no great highlight/all over the lid shade for me and the swatches sort of put me in mind of Entrelacs (not in terms of colour but more in terms of quality). I love how Ultraberry looks on your lips, Christine, but the actual arm swatch looks a bit sheer and disappointing.
Wow, I’m really impressed with those eyeshadow swatches! I feel like matte blue and gray usually turn out splotchy at best, so these look like a B+ to A category. Looking forward to your review.
Although it’s not exactly ‘intense’ I do like the Ultraberry and the Ultrarose lip colors. I like sheer lipsticks I guess. 🙂
Honestly, I am not sure why I am not loving this. Normally I would love a good mostly cool toned palette but just not feeling this one. Maybe I will change my mind after reviews are in and I can see it in person. For now, this is a no for me.
I’m always on the look out for a good, smokey eye palette but those shades are way too similar to one another. The rouge allure gloss is probably the best lip formula I’ve ever tried (I have affriolant and I always get complimented when I wear it) but I was hoping the nude would’ve been a bit darker. Oh well.
Wow, finally a cool toned shadow palette! The darker shades look a tad dry, but look very fixable with primer. That’s probably the best matte navy I’ve seen in a long time, a very hard color to get right. I’m a bit worried the blues/blacks will amplify dark shadows under my eyes, and the 2 silvers look almost the same. Think I will need to swatch this one in person to see.
Oddly despite my almost always poo-pooing these type of shades on myself, I really am intrigued by this eyeshadow palette. I could likely replicate it using UD Naked Smoky along with Shell shock in 2 UD palettes I have? And UD Revolver and DTF from Vice 3, too!
I’ve been looking for a warm berry lipstick for the season, and Ultraberry looks promising.
I don’t need any of it, but I kinda want it all 🙁
I am actually surprised at how much I like all these lippies here. I do like the shadows two but have plenty so really don’t need these.
I kind of like the lipsticks. Generally I don’t like sheer ones, but these two look juicy and seem to have a lovely shine. It could be that I’m tired of matte lipsticks, and they are hard to wear in the winter when my lips are drier than they are in the other seasons.
Most of all I like Ultrarose.
Both of the lipsticks are TO DIE. Can’t wait for dupes because my student budget can’t afford this lol!
The palette shades are lovely – the shimmers look pretty good, but the mattes a tad patchy. The lipstick shades are great. We’ll see…….
Not terribly exciting color-wise, but it is a nice looking collection, and in keeping with Chanel. I wouldn’t expect them to put out a super-bright eye palette or blue lipstick. The shadow quality looks nice and the lip colors are pretty.
I didn’t know what to think of this as a holiday collection until I saw all the pieces together in an article. The greys are paired with what looks like a vibrant red/pinkish blush (called Hyperfresh) and the lip products above and could look quite nouveau if you can pull it off. I’d have to be convinced that greys and blues would work well on me but I’m intrigued about the direction Chanel is going under Lucia Pica. If the blush swatch is lovely, I’ll buy that and a lippy.
The palette is interesting, and the shadow intensity looks pretty good for Chanel. I was at the Chanel counter of my local Nordstrom yesterday, and the SA told me that Libre Synthetic was Chanel’s Holiday 2016 collection. Is that what you heard too Christine? I’m a bit confused!
Sorry, I don’t have any info from Chanel on this launch – just what they have on their site. 🙁 Based on their site itself, it doesn’t call out “holiday.” Like for fall, they put “Fall 2016,” but on the other hand, this is starting to oget later in the season, so Chanel would be late if they launched holiday. It’s possible they are staggering it out with more mini collections (they seem to have more of them now).
Ultraberry and Ultrarose are totally the kinds of colors/finishes that I gravitate towards — will be purchasing! Thanks for the heads-up. 🙂
I have Super Nude gloss; love it & the not-pictured Calllgraphie de Chanel black cream liner. Perf Bardot! I want ultra rose & I also think I could make a dupe of this palette w UD Naked Smoky. I also own illusion d’ombre in Mysterio which is a silver-grey. I could wear ultra rose w navy eyeliner. I’m not really fond of dark grey shadows so i won’t buy the palette but may add ultra rose lipstick to my collex.
