Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet
Burberry Bright Plum Liquid Lip Velvet

Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet ($34.00 for 0.20 fl. oz.) is a new, permanent formula that is available in 14 shades. It’s supposed to be a long-wearing, pigmented liquid lipstick that is non-drying. I bought six to try before indulging in the rest of the range, which you’ll find swatched below:

That it brilliant packaging — square so it doesn’t roll, and the space inside narrows down to the shape of the doe foot, so as it’s used, the product always collects around the applicator.

Oh, and nice colors too. And the formula looks comfortable. 🙂 Bright Plum is beautiful — reminds me of UD Jilted, which I really like.

“That *is* brilliant …” [sigh}

I’m also looking forward to your reviews. These look like they don’t dry down like the standard matte liquid lipsticks. I don’t need any more lippies, but I’m curious about ll these newer liquid formulas.

I love the Fawn Rose I bought. I’m so glad you posted these swatches because after falling in love with the quality of FR, I put several others on my “maybe” list for the Sephora discount buy. I’m leaning toward the Violet. The Rosewood is pretty but looks so similar to a bunch of others I already have. Thanks!

I bought six to see if they were any good, but they’re pricey enough that I followed my rule of trying some before reviewing all (if they were pretty awful or mediocre, six is enough to say so!) – but I bought the rest… except one, which was OOS.

Fawn Rose looks like a warmer version of MAC’s Lac Luster in ‘coy’ from 2002, those were one of the first incarnation of the liquid matte lips. I used to love that shade, I will be purchasing Fawn Rose for nostalgia alone.

I can’t wait for your reviews! I like the finish of these mattes, I prefer them over the chalkier looking versions, it gives the lips some dimension but it is still honest to the matte finish.

I’d love to know if these have the same flavor/perfume as the glosses! I love a lot of the glosses, but I just can’t stand that taste!

I bought Fawn Rose No.9 and Primrose No.21 and I really like both of them, the texture is great and I have a weakness for liquid lipsticks lately!
