Shiseido Lacquer Rouge Launches

Shiseido Lacquer Rouge Launches

Created by Shiseido Artistic Director, Dick Page, Lacquer Rouge is a rich liquid lip color that leaves lips beautifully polished in just one coat. Inspired by Japanese lacquer artistry, a 9,000-year old technique that delivers exceptional lustrous shine and an almost wet-looking finish to a wide variety of pieces, called “lacquerware.”

According to Dick, “the collection is about a speedy glamour. The simplicity of a lip gloss married to the intensity of a lipstick, a deep pigment and rich color payoff, and long-lasting shine and gloss.”

With just one coat, Lacquer Rouge provides intense color and a lacquer-like finish by simultaneously adhering deep, rich pigments and a topcoat-like shine. With continued use, Lacquer Rouge also improves dry or rough lips leaving them deeply moisturized and smooth. It includes the following key ingredient:

Super Hydro-Wrap Vitalizing DE: an advanced moisturizing ingredient that actively pushes moisture into lips and effectively retains it for hours.

Lacquer Rouge ($25.00)

  • Savage (RD702) Rich, earthy brown

@Lulle Agreed! And maybe these will give a similar effect to the YSL Glossy Stains, but without that horrid, rancid smell! (I cannot use the Glossy Stains for that reason but I love the look)

I can’t wait for these!!!I love Shiseido, and  though I don’t own many of its products, those I do own are really impressive!!! can’t wait for the reviews either!!!! I hope you get to review all of them (not to put pressure on you or anything…!)!

I do agree! I can’t wait to see thme in person, the colours are always really sophisticated and Shiseido is not as expensive as Chanel and Armani, both brands that offer also really great colours and textures…

About half the price of the Guerlain Rouge G L’Extrait and with possibly better colors. I may have to check this out at Nordie’s tomorrow…

I just got 2 of these in the mail today, Blaze and Portrait. They are so nice, they can be super opaque or worn sheer. Just the right amount of shine, and they last through eating and drinking. Just amazing! Love ’em!

Swatched these at my local Macy’s today. All the colors are very wearable on my Med. Asian skintone. Wanted Nymph and Blaze but I found out that orange really is the “it” color of the moment. Blaze is sold  out! in my quiet sedate conservative suburban community. Will add both reds to my collection next and lusting after the 4 Asia-only releases. Comparisons: YSL Glossy stains are transparent; these are adjustable translucent to opaque. Longevity is comparable to YSL but longer lasting and more moisturizing than Chanel RAL. Also make like Dick Page and use it as a great lip/cheek all in one, perfect for travel.

just purchased nocturne at the shiseido counter @ my local dept store, and am waiting for savage in the mail from sephora. i’ve been on the hunt for the perfect red, and i think nocturne may be it! the formula’s so pigmented that all i had to do was dab one coat on my bottom lip and pat it on my upper lip – a little correction with a lip brush and done. it’s a very pigmented formula (hence why i needed so little for opaque coverage on both of my lips), yet has enough shine to remind you that you’re not wearing a matte lipstick. i’m nc42, annapurna in nars tinted moisturizer, with quite pigmented lips, so a red with strong blue or berry tones looks darkly pink on me. nocturne’s a great neutral deep red, i’m very happy with it.

I got a few samples with a recent Shiseido order, and love the color of Portrait (RD203) but dislike the formula — it’s sticky and doesn’t last on me. Any suggestions for a color dupe in a more long-wearing form? Thanks! 🙂

Can someone give a review of these in comparison to Chanel RALs? I luv Dragon and I hate they discontinued these…I have Dragon, Mandarin and Phoenix. With Shiiseido, I’m curious about Drama, Blaze and Disco. Christine, please swatch these for us!
