Sephora Sale: Lipstick & Lipgloss Recommendations
I thought I’d highlight some of the better-performing formulas across various categories with Sephora’s spring event kicking off today for Rouges. This post features recommendations across different lip products, which I hope you find helpful. Starting today, April 1st, through April 11th, Rouges can save 20% off with code SAVESPRING. VIBs can save 15% off beginning April 5th, while Insiders will get 10% off beginning April 7th. (For more details, see Sephora Spring Savings Event.)
Lip Product Recommendations
Below, I’ve broken down my recommendations for shopping Sephora’s spring event by lipstick, lipgloss, and lip balm. Here’s hoping you find something new to enjoy or a reminder to re-wear a favorite.
Lipsticks
- Charlotte Tilbury Hyaluronic Happikiss — super creamy, high-gloss neutral tones
- Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro — creamy, liquid lipstick that’s ultra-long-wearing but flexible
- Guerlain Rouge G — luminous lip colors that are flattering to drier lips
- Laura Mercier Rouge Essentiel — underrated, pigmented + luminous colors
- NARS Audacious — pigmented, creamy, and smoothing
- Pat McGrath MatteTrance — comfortable, soft mattes
- Rare Beauty Lip Souffle — soft matte, flexible liquid lipstick
- Sephora #LipStories — more affordable, lots of shades, comfortable and consistent in good performance
- Sephora Rouge Lacquer — juicy, creamy color that’s hydrating
- Smashbox Be Legendary — Pigmented, satin-like finish
- Urban Decay Vice Hydrating Lipstick — consistent, pigmented, and long-ish wearing
- YSL Rouge Pur Couture — smooth, luminous and pigmented color
- YSL Rouge Volupte — a classic fave for creamy, luminous color
- YSL Slim Velvet — crisp, soft matte that doesn’t pill
Lipglosses
- Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb — my go-to for everyday, quick-to-apply and foolproof gloss
- Pat McGrath Lust Lip Gloss — smoothing, hydrating gloss
- Tower28 ShineOn Jelly Lip Gloss — sheerer, milky creams
Lip Balms
- Jack Black Lip Balm — still a go-to after probably a decade!
Do you have any lip-related recommendations for those shopping the sale this month?
I was all set to order the MUFE Artist Rouge lippie in Juicy Grape which you reviewed about a week ago and which I love but it doesn’t come up on the Sephora website! I saw the Flamingo shade there but not the grape. Not sure why as it doesn’t show up as sold out, it just isn’t there at all. Maybe Sephora didn’t get it?
Definitely throwing a tube of Jack Black Lip Balm into my cart! I love it for summer when my Laneige Gummi Bears Lip Mask just isn’t quite enough. Our summers are BRUTAL on lips!
I want to treat myself to a splurge with a new lipstick, but I’m struggling to narrow down WHICH one. A YSL or a Charlotte Tilbury…I’ve never purchased either before.
I prefer YSL overall, I think they nail it for lip products!
