Pineapple Express (21)
Sephora Pineapple Express (21) Lipstories Lipstick ($8.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a medium purple with warm, pink undertones and a cream finish. The lipstick was richly pigmented, while the texture was smooth, creamy, and had moderate slip, which made it comfortable to apply as it did not drag. For as much slip as it had, it didn’t well into my lip lines as I expected, though it slid around a touch (but did not feather on me). It lasted for five hours and was lightly hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$8.00/0.14 oz. - $57.14 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "lightweight" with "full-coverage color in one swipe." The majority of shades were pigmented with semi-opaque to full color payoff in a single layer, as described. The more shimmery shades tended to be a bit sheerer overall, while the mattes and creams were usually closer to opaque in coverage.
The textures were typically creamy, lightweight, and not too thin or too thick on the lips, so they were comfortable to apply and to wear. There were some shades where the color pulled into my deeper lip lines upon application, and it was more or less noticeable just depending on the color and finish of the particular.
Some shades seemed hydrating and others were non-drying. They lasted anywhere from three to over six hours on me. There was a subtle, sweet, fruity scent (I couldn't detect it on, just in the tube), and I haven't noticed any taste after wearing them.

A Little Magic (22)
Sephora A Little Magic (22) Lipstories Lipstick ($8.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a rich, medium-dark red with neutral-to-cool undertones and a satin finish. It had good pigmentation in a single layer with a smooth, lightly creamy texture that was a touch thinner but still applied easily across my lips. This shade wore well for six hours, left a subtle stain behind, and was slightly moisturizing.

These colors all look incredible on you!!! And such high marks, too. I really love Golden Gate. The color payoff is fantastic. I picked up Berry-licious for my Mom for her upcoming bday as she loves anything in purple. For the money, this collection is worth every penny and then some.
Pretty, pretty, pretty…I love all three of them, the shades and the packaging.
I don’t actually need any of these shades, but for $8, I wouldn’t feel too guilty about “splurging” on one of them. I like Pineapple Express the best, but I’m a bit worried about the slip because creams tend to bleed into the annoying little lines outside of my lips that seem to get worse with every passing year.
After Hours! After all these years, a beautiful red lipstick still makes my heart beat faster
So far, these Lipstories lipsticks are knocking the ball outta the park! I don’t see a single miss in the above trio. The one that I know I’m going to have to try on is Pinapple Express. This could just work on me, maybe! (Besides, I’m a James Franco fan!)
Even though I’m not a big fan of matte lipsticks, I really like these 2 mattes and the fact that they are smooth and don’t tug is a big point in their favour. I’m adding them to my “wish list” and my pick one or both of them up.
After Hours and A Little Magic are both gorgeous shades – very flattering.
This reminds me that I have UD Anarchy and don’t really wear it. I need to correct that.
I had my eye on After Hours for some reason thinking it was a different color, but it’s off my list now.
I’m glad it performed well though.
A Little Magic and After Hours are both beautiful reds!
Christine, overall are you liking the whole collection? I was able to get the whole set from the Rewards Bazaar today, hoping it’s worth 7500 points!
Hey Lizzi,
I wish I felt one way or the other, but they’re just lipstick on my radar. Nothing super impressive but by no means bad, just… a solid lipstick formula with hits and some misses.
These are all really nice! I had PM Beauty Junkie on my list, but I’m swapping it out with Pineapple Express. Yay!
These are great – I’m going to get Pineapple Express for summer and Golden Gate as soon as fall rolls around. They seem like a good value to throw in a few fun colors (cheaper than many drugstore finds!). Again, thanks for posting ingredients. It lets me order without worry!
