Thank you for the heads up on this release. I think the Becca palette is very nice but again these large sets are unable to meet the needs of everyone so many of the shades are way too dark for my skin tone. I could probably use them as toppers and perhaps e/s if they are eye safe but I will have to check into it. It is really pretty though.
It’s an eyeshadow palette! And I want it!
I didn’t realize that it was an e/s palette. I am not sure if that makes me want it more or less, LOL. I have so many e/s but these are really pretty. Think I will wait until a little closer to the holiday and see what I think then. I really have my sights set on the Huda Desert Dawn palette even though I know it wasn’t the best but the color story is really me so I am wiling to work with it. Thank you for correcting me about the palette.
I am sitting here with the Becca eye palette in my cart, to buy or not to buy! Love the colors (but I already have all of the permanent versions in some size or another) and I really just hate round packaging! haha
Thank you for the heads up – I’m getting my wishlist together so trying to keep calm while these are being released to VIB Rouge members!
That Becca palette! I hope it doesn’t sell out. I want it but I am officially on a no-buy!
Me too! This no-buy thing is hard, isn’t it?
The “Benefit City Lights, Party Nights” Available at Sephora link takes me to the Easy On The Eyes Sephora page.
Fixed, thank you!
Hm. Nothing I need here. Which is good. 🙂
I’ll probably skip all these ones.
Argh….can see the rouge exclusive link with all the products but can’t click on any of them (all broken links). Wonder if it’s because I’m in Canada?
So far the Becca eye palette is the only one jumping out at me, but I’ve never used their eyeshadow so I’ve no idea what the formula is like. Any thoughts from peeps who’ve used them?
I love their eyeshadows!! My favorite.
And…. apparently, it’s upon us now. WOW. Feels much too soon. But perhaps there will be a real gem tucked within this consortium of palettes!
I thought that Becca was nice until I saw the swatches on Sephora website… does not look good on dark skin. I thought it was all highlighters then I’d go for it.
Smashbox looks nice! Everything else is just THE USUAL. Too big for me.
Also only interested in the Smashbox..looks good and the size does too.
Swatched the Smashbox in store –the cooler shadow palette was crappy, the warm one (and it’s very very warm) was great, the highlighters are decent. The Tarte one is 95% neutrals, shadows swatched well, the blushes were dry and stiff, light on pigment, as was the highlighter, and the 2 contour shades are SUPER dark, would only work for darker skintones. The Too Faced set was very fun ; there’s a cute paper planner with stickers that’s portable, and the shadow/face palette pulls out, it’s very slim so good for travel. There’s a small heart shaped mirror on the side, very cute. Shadows were a mixed bag, the top 3 rows were problematic, the bottom 3 rows were much better. But a lot of repeat shades from past holiday palettes. I forgot to swatch the face/cheek products at bottom (darn it).
I’m intrigued by the Becca palette! Same formula as the highlighters? Interesting!
Ooooh…. I’m actually loving that Smashbox set. I have yet to get one of those cute Covershot palettes, and I really liked them when I swatched them and they’d be great for travel because of the size! I wonder if it’ll last til after Xmas….. I remember last year’s set went on sale not that long into January. I love a good bundle price, but I reaaaallly love a sale on top of that, haha 😉
I feel like instead of being trendsetters, Smashbox just releases what they have in different permutations. I used to love this brand but they have seemed so uninspiring lately. Like this holiday kit is just 3 palettes put together. And their summer set didn’t do well (was on sale as soon as possible, almost). I wish them luck but it’s hard to compete with other brands, these days…
