Fire Side (11)
Sephora Fire Side (11) Lipstories Lipstick ($8.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a deep brown with warm undertones and a cream finish. It had opaque color payoff that applied evenly and smoothly across my lips and never tugged during application. The lipstick had a lightweight, creamy (but not slippery!) consistency that had a bit of substance to it so it seemed to smooth out most of my lip lines. It stayed on nicely for five hours and was lightly moisturizing.

Formula Overview
$8.00/0.14 oz. - $57.14 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "lightweight" with "full-coverage color in one swipe." The majority of shades were pigmented with semi-opaque to full color payoff in a single layer, as described. The more shimmery shades tended to be a bit sheerer overall, while the mattes and creams were usually closer to opaque in coverage.
The textures were typically creamy, lightweight, and not too thin or too thick on the lips, so they were comfortable to apply and to wear. There were some shades where the color pulled into my deeper lip lines upon application, and it was more or less noticeable just depending on the color and finish of the particular.
Some shades seemed hydrating and others were non-drying. They lasted anywhere from three to over six hours on me. There was a subtle, sweet, fruity scent (I couldn't detect it on, just in the tube), and I haven't noticed any taste after wearing them.

Celebrate (12)
Sephora Celebrate (12) Lipstories Lipstick ($8.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a deep magenta with cool, blue undertones and a cream finish. It had good pigmentation in a single layer, though it wasn’t opaque and did not build up to full coverage either. The consistency was smooth, creamy without being too slippery, and easy to glide across my lips in a fluid stroke, but there was something about the texture that seemed to pull away along my lip lines, which made the color look less even as a result. It wore well for five hours and left a heavy stain behind. The formula felt lightly hydrating while worn.

Coconut Grove (13)
Sephora Coconut Grove (13) Lipstories Lipstick ($8.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a medium-dark pink with subtle, cooler undertones and a pearly sheen. It had semi-sheer pigmentation–enough color to tint my natural lip color and a moderate amount of sparkle and pearl–but it had moderate slip, which made it hard to build up coverage. If you’re someone who likes sheerer, shimmery lipsticks, it might still work for you. The texture was lightweight, emollient but not heavy, and I could feel a bit of the texture of the sparkles in the tube, but it did not feel rough or scratchy overall. It wore well for four hours on me and was lightly hydrating.

My word, I love Coconut Grove. Wish it scored better but I am tempted to try it anyway as I don’t have to have super opaque coverage to make it work. My only other concern would be bleeding into my lip lines which happens a lot given I have fissures the size of the Grand Canyon above and below my lips. I use to use a lip wax pencil to prevent bleeding and I think it was either Too Faced or Benefit. I recently went looking for it at Ulta and they don’t have it any longer so would have to use a very light shade of lip pencil underneath but really don’t want to mess with the shade of this even a little bit. Maybe UD Ozone?
No surprises for saying that I love Fireside……great rating too.
Fireside reminds me of a deep, rich brown lipstick I rocked a small lifetime ago, and I like it!
I’m on the fence with Celebrate and Coconut Grove, however. Love their color, but it seems like I have a few better performing dupes, ie; Nyx Sweet Pink.
I like Fire Side, and my only dupe is Aya, which pulls purple puce on me, just like Deeply Rooted does. Idk what’s up with that. Chemistry? Prob should swatch the lipstory.
I really like sparkle of Coconut Grove. I’m thinking it might work over my paler lips, or at least make a great topper. For $8, I might give it a try. Celebrate is gorgeous.
