Round-up: MAC x Philip Treacy Collection Overview & Thoughts
MAC x Philip Treacy is a collaboration collection that will release online on March 26th (North America) and be available in select stores on April 2nd (North America) with international availability sometime in April 2015 at select locations. This collection had some pretty lipsticks and gel eyeliners, but the lipsticks trended towards being more readily duped. The High-Light Powders had an incredibly soft texture that was also powdery, but more importantly, they didn’t highlight, illuminate, or otherwise give the skin radiance and flattened the skin so it looked ultra-matte and smooth (like a setting powder). My favorite products were Royal Wink Fluidline and Blue Peep Fluidline as both performed well and were more unique shades.

Thanks Christine for getting this massive collection reviewed in such a short time period! A huge help!!
No problem, Katherine!
Meh, this collection really dissapoints me. The highlight powders could be so beautiful, so it’s a bummer that they make your skin look so dull 🙁
I wish they were more illuminating!
Thank you for working so hard all weekend to get these reviews done and a round-up! You totally deserve a break! I am for sure going to pre-order Blue Peep and Royal wink, and likely Hollywood Cerise. I have been going back and forth on the other two lipsticks. 🙂
Happy I could help, Nicole! 🙂
Blue Peep really stands out for me in this collection.
It’s a nice pop of color!
Another miss for me. The lipsticks are pretty but eminently dupable, and the highlighters, which could have been so cool, just … confound me. A dulling highlighting powder? Who wants that? I can’t remember the last time I didn’t want at least one thing from a MAC collection.
With this being one of the only way to try things before they sell out, I can’t thank you enough for the quick reviews, Christine.
So glad I could get them out in time, Jilly! 🙂
I certainly liked all of the lipsticks.
Yay!
Fluidlines Blue Deep and Royal Wink are so pretty! I am already imagining myself being my a pool and tanning while wearing these.
Would be gorgeous at the pool, I’m sure! 😀
I hate how the highlight powders turned out but I’m here for Hollywood Cerise and Royal Wink. Love those colors
Hollywood Cerise is really a beauty!
I knew I loved that Cardinal lipstick for a reason! Thank you so much for this review, it is greatly appreciated.
It is a pretty red! 😀
Honestly THANK YOU. I discovered Temptalia a year ago and I couldn’t imagine there is someone that spends so much time (and make a great work) to do all these reviews, answer, help!!! THANK YOU 🙂 🙂
So glad I could help out, Liberte! 🙂
😀
I really like the short and sweet roundups. So easy to see what’s good and what’s less so. Thank you for all the hard work!
No problem, Helene!
Is Nordstrom going to carry this collection eventually?
No idea!
Hi Christine – just to let you know the links for Royal Wink and Black Track on the image reviews are reversed! Thanks as ever for the reviews.
Thanks!
