Rose Inc Love Beckons & Of Stars Lip Creams Reviews & Swatches
Love Beckons
Rose Inc Love Beckons Lip Cream ($28.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a deep, reddish-plum with subtle, warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. This was one of the few shades that had more of a “soft matte” finish after the initial application–most took some time to wear down.
- Semi-opaque pigmentation in one layer
- Lightweight, mousse-like consistency
- Spread well but didn’t apply as evenly as other shades
- Long-wearing (5 hours), non-drying, slightly uneven fading over time

Formula Overview
$28.00/0.13 oz. - $215.38 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "pigment-rich" and have a "soft-matte finish" that "lasts" and "doesn't crack or flake." The consistency was more of an airy, mousse consistency--not like a tradition liquid lipstick but thicker (physically) while maintaining its more lightweight feel applied.
Some shades were fully opaque in one layer, while others were more medium to semi-opaque in coverage and could be built up to full opacity with a second layer. Similarly, I experienced some shades that were more of a soft matte finish from the get-go while abouut half required blotting or about an hour of wear before they wore down to a soft matte finish.
The darker and richer shades tended to look the best applied, as the lighter shades were more prone to emphasizing lip texture, settling noticeably into lip lines, and the like.
Most shades lasted four to six hours on me with the darker/richer shades (like reds) lasting longer than others, but the formula was non-drying rather than noticeably hydrating over time. They did not wear down as evenly as ideal, though, as they tended to settle into lip lines over time.

I probably have a dupe for it already, but I love that lovely plum tinged rose shade, Love Beckons!
These are really great shades for those who love pink lip creams – Love Beckons is quite a different shade and it’s a shame that the formula wasn’t as good as the others in the range.
