Foxglove

Rose Inc Foxglove Blush Divine Clean Dewy Cream Blush ($18.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a darker, coppery-orange with subtle, warm reddish undertones and lighter, fine gold pearl. It had a lightly dewy sheen on skin, though it seemed to look less dewy when layered over a matte base, though it didn’t create patchiness when I layered it on top of foundation. On bare skin, it retained a more noticeable sheen on my skin.

The texture was smooth, denser, and moderately tacky, though the tackiness seemed to dissipate a bit after applying and blending it out on my skin. It had rich pigmentation in a single layer, where a little went a long way, so I’d recommend using a brush to apply for a more foolproof, sheerer application (if desired!). This shade lasted well for eight hours on me before fading a bit.

Formula Overview

$18.00/0.15 oz. - $120.00 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to be "richly pigmented" (though also "buildable") and "long-wearing" that "hydrate[s] skin." The product is sold with a compact for $30.00 or as a refill pan for $18.

They were very pigmented, so a little went a long way, and I liked using synthetic brushes for application the most because I found I had a little more control over the coverage and could build it up without less error. With a fingertip, the tackier consistency made it easy to pick up more product than necessary, so more blending/diffusion was required.

The consistency was creamy, smooth, and tackier to the touch, so I was surprised it was not prone to lifting up base products as well. I noticed that it seemed a little less dewy when applied over a matte foundation, almost like it took on the underlying base finish, but it didn't create patchiness or unevenness. The blush's finish on bare skin was lightly dewy, not really tacky to the touch, and never fully dried down so there was some transfer if I accidentally touched my face or the like.

They lasted between eight and nine hours on me before showing signs of fading.

Yaaaah. And I therefore don’t love it. Horse racing. Strokes.
(For the ESL speakers, Those are idioms. ‘That’s what makes horse racing’ and ‘different strokes for different folks’ mean basically the same thing. People have differences, and that’s a positive thing. S.T. I forget that Christine has a global audience, and that people speaking an Asian, middle eastern, etc. language would find many US idioms incomprehensible.). This country is pretty US-centric.

I’m so glad I had a chance to try these in store. Several colors were very close to those of Tower 28 so if you have any Tower 28, check out the Rose Inc in person if possible or you might end up with dupes. Also, I applied the swatches with my fingers and the texture felt really thick.

This does look similar to Tower Beach Please Golden Hour, although less sheer. I’m not seeing much shimmer in the swatches – and the colors of these Rose Inc blushes are really pretty! Ophelia and Anemone look like they would be ideal for the flushed look. Of course Sephora is out of Ophelia 😏
