The formula is supposed to be a cross between "iridescent chameleon and pastel shimmer," so they have a noticeable color base but a multichrome shift. The brand recommended applying over an eyeshadow primer and in a thin layer to "intensify the shift," though I did not personally find that primer necessarily impacted the shift as they were readily apparent used on their own.
They were richly pigmented with a soft, smooth consistency that was lightly emollient but not too thick or too densely-packed into the pan, so it was easy to pick up product with a dry brush as well as fingertips/dampened brushes if preferred.
