Tarte Rainforest of the Sea is a limited edition eye palette that retails for $36.00 and contains 0.4 oz.
Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Eyeshadow Palette ($34.00 for 0.40 oz.) includes eight eyeshadows in neutral tones with some warmer, some cooler-toned shades. It features a new eyeshadow formula, which Tarte describes as a "cream powder" that is "pigmented" and "blendable." It's a much denser, richer formula that is smooth but firmer in the pan (but not in a stiff way) that goes on better--it is similar to formulas like Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow and Kat Von D Metal Crush Eyeshadow. I am all for this new formula, because it performs well without primer, which has always been an area where Tarte's powder eyeshadows have been more hit or miss. These are pigmented, blendable, and adhere to bare skin without primer--and I still get good wear (8 hours across the board), which you can obviously extend or insure if you wear primer normally. The biggest thing is really this formula is far easier to blend out and nothing turned patchy or uneven.
Discover the next-generation of tarte’s cult-favorite plush powder eyeshadow palette, no primer or brush needed! The soft, hybrid formula is part cream, part powder and infused with oxygenated light-reflecting spheres for a plump, smooth texture and seamless payoff that never dries out or flakes. The eight longwearing, cool-toned shades include four mattes and four lusters that can be worn wet or dry, and you’ll get the antioxidant benefits of tarte’s Rainforest of the Sea™ complex with none of the icky, bad stuff.
