Ember is a bright, highlighter yellow with a sparkling, metallic finish. It had a green tinge to it that kept from being really gold to my eye. The consistency was a bit denser and more firmly-pressed into the pan, but it wasn't difficult to pick up using a moderate hand and a shader brush. The product applied evenly and lasted well for eight and a half hours on me.
