OCC Pagan Nail Lacquer ($10.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a "blackened purple." It's a deep, dark--but still rich, slightly brightened--purple with cool undertones and a jelly-cream finish. It was mostly opaque after two coats, but there was a very slight translucency to it (which is what made it look like a jelly-cream hybrid). NARS Fury (LE, $20.00) is warmer.
