OCC Covet Nail Lacquer ($10.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a “golden buff neutral.” It’s a medium-dark, muted peachy-beige with a cream finish. It was opaque after two coats and applied well without streaking or bubbling. It dried down to a high gloss finish. The consistency was slightly thick but not difficult to use. I typically get a week of wear with minor tip wear but no chipping with the brand’s formula. I don’t have anything that has as much brown in it that’s not actually brown, but these were the closest I could think of: NARS Wind Dancer (LE, $20.00) is brighter, more orange. Chanel June (LE, $27.00) is lighter, more orange. China Glaze Desert Sun (LE, $7.50) is more orange, brighter. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

OCC Dangerous Nail Lacquer ($10.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as an “opaque, true grey.” It’s a medium, neutral-to-cool-toned gray with a cream finish. This shade was very pigmented and was almost opaque in one coat, though I used two coats just to be sure. It had a slightly thick consistency, but it was easy to work with and didn’t streak or pool along the edges. Illamasqua DWS (P, $17.00) is cooler-toned. Rescue Beauty Lounge Stormy (LE, $20.00) is very similar. Zoya Dove (P, $9.00) is lighter, warmer. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

OCC Pagan Nail Lacquer ($10.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a “blackened purple.” It’s a deep, dark–but still rich, slightly brightened–purple with cool undertones and a jelly-cream finish. It was mostly opaque after two coats, but there was a very slight translucency to it (which is what made it look like a jelly-cream hybrid). NARS Fury (LE, $20.00) is warmer. NARS New York Dolls (LE, $20.00) is lighter. MAC Rain of Flowers (LE, $16.00) is more shimmery. L’Oreal The Mystic’s Fortune (LE) is more shimmery. Essie Bobbing for Baubles (LE, $8.00) is more muted, bluer. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

These launch online August 5th and will be in select stores on September 19th.

I know a lot of people would consider it an “ugly” colour, but I love the look of Covet and it’s a shade that’s pretty hard to dupe.

I love covet! It reminds me of a lighter version of the camel color from the NARS Easy Walking duo, which is a color I’ve been trying to find a dupe for. Covet seems like a good option!

At first glance i did not like these colours at all but once they were applied on the nails they looked great. Quite different to the typical nail polish shades. Covet it my favourite.

It’s interesting how I think I’ll not like a colour and then completely change my mind when I see it used. I thought I’d dislike Covet, but no, I like it. It wouldn’t suit me, unfortunately.
I knew I’d like Pagan, and I do. I don’t have any grey nailpolish and as I don’t think I can get these I may have to go search for “the right” grey.
