Melt Cosmetics Recently Deceased Beetlejuice Pressed Pigment Palette ($48.00 for 0.479 oz.) is a new, limited edition palette featuring four matte shades and four shimmer shades. Sometimes Melt puts out really interesting color stories, but they drop the ball on the actual products... unfortunately, that was the case here. There were inconsistencies in formula within the palette, which made it harder to work with (even over an eyeshadow primer). Lost Souls was the hardest shade to use in this palette.
As many readers had pointed out after seeing promotional images, the bottom row is oddly similar. I can see the nuances when swatched, but the more matte purple shades run together in practice, and the two shimmer shades could be more differentiated by amping up the shimmer in one of them.
Per the brand, Recently Deceased, Lost Souls, Little Accident, and Bio Exorcist are Pressed Pigments and "are not approved by the FDA and Melt Cosmetics for use on the eyes."
